How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I didn't like the fact that there was not a magnifying mirror in the bathroom. Due to the lack of light in there, it was almost impossible to do a proper makeup as I couldn't see very well. I don't want to have to carry my own mirror and this caused some aggravation. (Its a girl thing!)
Loved that we could something to eat when ever we arrived back. Staff were friendly and helpful Our room was spotless

the bed was very hard and uncomfortable. we were told we would have a room tidy service half way through our stay and it never occurred, when I asked for toilet paper I was told it would be left in my room and it never got left.
The location was great. the parking onsite was great.

Well located in town could walk to everything, room was clean and comfortable with free parking underneath. left my hair straightener in room and received a message letting me know.

Lights from surrounding building were too bright even with blockout blinds and in a storm the cables for sails were exceptionally loud banging.

I found the linen and bedding not really satisfactory. The towels were thin and small, the bedsheets heavy and too many layers. The blanket or doona was thin but dense; this was adequate but not cosy. Had an issue with tv not turning on, but this was dealt with immediately, with the tv being replaced. The inhouse phone had an issue with connectivity which was unresolved.
Loved the spaciousness of the room and enjoyed the convenience of the kitchenette. The sofa was comfortable and was a nice area to relax in. The room overlooked a major road, however, the large sliding glass doors were sound proofed and we were not disturbed at all by any noise. The winter sun really warmed the room and we had no need to use air conditioning.

location… road noise was horrid! Traffic was constant & location is on main arterial road. Night Club about 20 steps from accommodation so be prepared for early morning yahooing.

What we didn't like were only minor issues - nothing that would be a deal breaker - poor water flow at kitchen sink, bathroom flow was good. Shower needs a larger screen, a door or even a curtain to keep splashes in. I would like to return with a trailer boat but concerned over very steep ramp to garage door - would be fine if I could use the upper level of car park - would require 2 parking spaces which should be available during non peak periods.
Room was very clean, security was excellent, parking was also secure - view from room was very good, quiet - near road but very little traffic noise with balcony door closed. room was comfortable and well equipped for self catering. Lady at reception was lovely and very helpful. Table and chairs on balcony were excellent for afternoon happy hour - no table & chairs inside but not a problem to move outdoor furniture temporarily into room.

TV was difficult to use with two hand controls. It appears only Foxtel is available as could not get local TV.
