We needed a late check in, and so we called the front desk as recommended in our confirmation e-mail from the property. We left a detailed message, and we quickly received a message back telling us how to access our room key. The room was great! Big, comfortable, well appointed. We had a comfortable night, and checkout in the morning was easy. Great location.

I road trip with a friend twice a year so we’re pretty seasoned travellers and stay in plenty of places. This was one of our worst experiences. Owners were nice and I know they’re trying to make a living but this room was unacceptable and poorly advertised. Was like a 1970s cheap honeymoon suit. Spa bath next to the bed. Cutlery, plates and kitchen amenities like the kettle located under the bathroom sink. The fridge was also in the bathroom despite there being enough room in the room to put a fridge. Shower was old and gross. Bathroom and shower was completely open to the rest of the room so there was no privacy to shower or change. This was not shown in any photos. In fact the photos are deliberately misleading in this. Listed as ensuite, though in all other motel bookings this has meant you have a door. Tv was broken. The room smelled of cigarette smoke despite being non smoking due to the fact people can smoke directly outside the room. There are no bedside tables or bedside lamps. Only wall lights which were not working during our stay. The bed was on a raised platform so in order to turn the lights on at night if you needed to get up to use the toilet, you’d have risked falling down the step in the dark. The mattress was beyond help. The springs were poking out the side and broken. You could feel the springs just by putting your hand on it. The owner said there was a new foam mattress cover on it when we asked if he had something we could use to make it more comfortable. He was able to offer us another doonah to place under the bottom sheet but this unfortunately did not help. The foam topper was so thin as to be pointless. The entire experience was awful, especially as we paid extra for a ‘better’ room. We ended up driving an hour to another town, arriving at 10:30pm because we couldn’t stomach staying the night there. The room we ended up in was so much better and $40 cheaper. Highly recommend the owners putting some money into buying a new mattress.

Room was very clean, fairly modern and the bed was comfortable. As a last minute check in after a long drive, management made my check in as smooth as possible after hours, and were very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

The fact the toilet hasn't been fixed since the last time we stayed in the spa room the place needs some upkeep

The size of the bathroom was a bit small, which could be improved for comfort. There was no toilet fan, and it wasn’t possible to adjust the window for better ventilation.

The room offered good privacy, especially being upstairs. The water pressure from the shower was excellent. The hot water was consistent, without any interruptions.

Having some sort of heating, even a portable one in the second bedroom would have been great. Electric blankets work well if you keep covers on but our toddler doesn't do that yet.

Superior room was spacious enough for myself, my partner and our toddler. Clean and easy parking right out the front of our room.
