How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The outdoor setting was so old the fibreglass particals was embedded into our legs which was very itchy.
The premises was clean, friendly staff.

The room smelt very mouldy the sitcoms had a musky mouldy smell

The shower wasn’t mopped when we arrived, there were stains all over the floor. There was rust on the fire sprinklers. The TV wouldn’t function properly, stereo system was very old and outdated so we couldn’t enjoy music to pass the time while we troubleshooted the TV. The complimentary chargers were also very outdated. It was very disappointing for the price we paid.
The hot water was wonderful and the balcony was nice.

We were in room 807B. On checkin we were not told that the rooms are not serviced over the weekend, even though signs in the room clearly state that the room will be serviced. This generally wouldn’t be an issues but the shower floor leaks water all over the bathroom floor and in front of the toilet the one floor mat provided was saturated after one shower and was unusable, we clearly thought since the signs stated that they would replace the towels/floor mat if you place them on the shower floor, this did not occur. There was no where to sit in the room for a couple, the balcony was west facing which was freezing in the morning and extremely hot in the afternoon making it unusable. The king size bed in a queen size room made it very tight. Was not aware until arrival that car parking was an extra per day on top of booking.
The cleaners from floor 9 were friendly.

Tiny claustrophobic room expensive for size of room. Very noisy facility even to eat dinner down stairs was noisy

Communication! Knowing what you are paying for. If we had known that this was going to be such an issue we would have booked elsewhere 100%. This whole situation could have been handled a lot better especially from the MANAGER of the hotel. Very disappointed and will not stay here again.
We arrived and booked secured parking. There was no parking available in the areas our Ute could fit (due to cargo on the back). We called the reception desk and we were advised to park in disabled parking. We did not want to park here but we did not have any other option as we had belongings on the back of our ute that needed to be secured. No sooner had we parked than the hotel manager came back in the hotel van. He was very rude to us and made us feel as if we were criminals. Every time we tried to speak to tell him that we have only parked here because we were advised by the receptionist to do so. He spoke over us every time we tried to speak. He even told us “I’ll refund your parking” (we are staying here because of the secured parking) Finally, we got to speak and he went up and arranged a park with the restaurant. Would not recommend staying here or the service here at all. As that was a very unprofessional way to go about the whole situation. We have paid over $200 to stay here for one night and we are treated this way. Very disappointed!!! If you have a high Ute or car maybe go somewhere else. We travelled a long distance to stay here and were very disappointed. Overall the room is really nice but this place but the experience is very tainted, unfortunately.

Tried to contact someone once we had checked in at Approx 7pm Saturday as there was no bedding for my daughter on the pull out as requested. It took me 8 phone attempt and when i got through the person on call was quite abrupt and rude and would not provide more linen until proven it was not in the room and also refused a second blanket and additional pillows. The other suggestion would be to the addition of smart tv's as there was nothing on the free to air and for the money i would have expected some additional tv service ie, foxtel or Smart TV with WiFi connection

The tv didn’t work and the batteries were sticky taped to hold the batteries in. Asked for tv to be fixed but was told no one was available and didn’t get fixed. The pillows were lumpy.
