Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The bathroom was really outdated and old. Housekeeping didn't service our room at all, during the four days we were there.
The internet connection was pretty good, one of the best we have had, and we have stayed in quite a few hotels this year. The bed was pretty comfortable and the room was warm enough.

The staff didn't tell us that we needed to request room service when checking in. They gave us two towels for a triple room. The bathrooms are seriously dated. The prices seem to be reasonable for the locsl area, but way overpriced compared to the rest of Australia 😅
The location was good if you are driving or riding - probably a bit far to walk anywhere comfortably. The sound insulation in the rooms were very good considering the road noise.

Room was smelly. Like closed up for a long time. Restuarant was closed. Looked like the hotel was needing facelift or redevelopment. Bathroom was cramped. Hard to get to off six lane divided road.
Beds and room size was nice Surprised it was only half filled when everything else in the area was booked out.

very old and smelly. the rooms were freezing and understated the noise was horrendous from traffic passing, people in other rooms and the dogs barking. was not worth what we paid for it. very disappointed

I disliked the attitude of a staff member when I phoned to say that due to the BOM warnings of severe weather conditions on the south coast PREVENTED me from travelling to Shellharbour. I had hoped to change the date until suitable weather permitted. However I was told basically tough luck as I had not given 48 hours notice. As this weather warning was still evolving 2 days prior to my booking I waited another 24 hours in case it was downgraded. The money was not refunded nor was another time arranged. I feel robbed .
don’t really know as I was unable to travel due to flood warnings .

The facility was listed and called a resort but NO facilities were available and we had to park well away from the room and walk a very long way to get to it. The place is very run down and either needs a total rebuild or knock it down and start again. Unfriendly staff and a big disappointment and we’ll below expectations. The worst motel we have stayed in for long time and very expensive. The toilet system would not stop running, no extra blanket in room and tea and coffee was so old it had gone hard in the packet and was long past use by date. This place should be closed and was a total rip off…. Car park and most stair access was blocked off.
There were NO redeeming features at this overpriced and run down motel.

The pool area was not safe to walk down to. There were no stairs and no access for people in wheelchairs. It was all grassed. The 'Resort' needs a lot of work to be called a resort. It is more like a Hotel.
Where we were situated was a great spot.

Room was small, refrigerator was stinking with some poisonous kind of gas. Very terrible smell, made our stay hell.

Very very average and bathroom very old but clean. Also the noise at 10pm at night from guests outside their rooms upstairs . Very unacceptable I did mention it to the male staff member on my departure on the Monday morning 11 April.
I guess the price I paid I should have expected the accommodation I stayed in the room was just very average I guess I expected more from the info that I read and saw on the web site. Bed very comfortable bathroom very very ancient.

Very old interior.. very small shower area.. had a smell of cigarette smoke..email correspondence said kitchen was open for room service Saturday night but upon arrival lady told me it wasn’t.. could hear constant thumping from room above me & conversations from room next door
