Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThere is no kitchen - Just a small shelf with the basics with which to prepare a sandwich or reheat a meal. There is however a great value pay-by-weight restaurant just 40 metres from the hostel. I had 2 excellent meals there, both well priced The only common area is actually part of a bar. This becomes basically unusable in the evening due to the loud music and bar guests
This is a spotlessly clean hostel located near the bus terminal and close to the main pedestrian friendly tourist streets. The hostel seems to be in new condition and is spotless. The reception staff (Lucas & Emmanuelle) are very friendly and helpful The hostel accepts credit cards, which is convenient

I recently had an amazing experience at the hostel I stayed in. The atmosphere was incredibly welcoming, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable. The common areas were clean and well-maintained, providing a great space to meet other travelers. The dorms were cozy, with comfortable beds and plenty of storage. Plus, the location was perfect, close to public transport and local attractions. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a friendly and budget-friendly place to stay!

United KingdomA Strong Warning: DO NOT STAY HERE. If you're looking for a comfortable stay in Florianopolis, this is not it. Located in an area that feels far from safe, Innbox (or, as we now call it, Sh*tbox) delivers an unforgettable experience, though for all the wrong reasons. --- The issues we encountered: 1. The Unpleasant Smell From the moment we walked in, there was an overwhelming and lingering scent of latrine detergent in the room. We eventually realised this smell was coming from the toilet. Not exactly the welcome we were hoping for. 2. Awkward Bathroom Setup Toilet paper must be pulled piece by piece from a dispenser placed just 10cm from the ground, and disposed of in the bin behind the toilet rather than flushed, requiring you to awkwardly crouch or kneel on a filthy bathroom mat that had seen better days. 3. Questionable Cleanliness Stained sheets, towels, and even some marks on the floor and walls made us wonder how often (if ever) things were properly cleaned. 4. A cleaning service that never came Adding to the surprise, rooms are not cleaned daily, something Booking.com failed to highlight. 4. Faulty Safe A safe is meant to provide security, but here it was neither functional nor attached to anything. Not exactly reassuring when staying in an area that already feels unsafe. 5. The Fridge Mystery Opening the fridge upon arrival revealed leftover food items from past guests, adding an unwanted touch of authenticity to the hostel’s shared living concept. 6. Soundproofing? Absolutely not The windows had no locks, no sound suppression, and did little to shield us from the outside world. One night, the bar downstairs threw a party and, with a speaker placed carefully right beneath our window, our room was turned into an involuntary subwoofer. Sleep was a luxury not afforded to guests here. 7. The Stairs Struggle With no lift available, carrying luggage up the stairs was a workout we didn’t sign up for. 8.
The Few Positives 1. Friendly Staff The people working here were genuinely helpful, kind, and accommodating, which was a pleasant contrast to the overall experience. They actually spoke English, which we've found to be a rarity in Brazil. 2. Air Conditioning That Works The air conditioning actually functioned, which was a relief—although it did have an unfortunate habit of dripping in front of the main entrance, as if marking the threshold to purgatory.

ChileThe facilities were too old. It needed more cleaning, there was no elevator. The staff didn’t speak English nor Spanish. The last day of our staying we saw a huge roach, luckily the staff was brave enough to kill it.
