CanadaBed was comfortable but a little soft for me. My room did not have conventional toilet paper, not sure why but thought this was a thing in Brazil until i got to my next hotel. Toilet was difficult to flush, not well positioned in the bathroom either; i stayed on the 17th floor as well. They do not seem to be the same however.
This was is not easy to rate, as i appreciated the staff but the facilities did not match my expectations. Breakfast was the highlight of my stay, excellent variety and service. Fresh fruits on the table day after day. Like i said staff was excellent, from my cleaning lady, the gentleman who checks room numbers at the restaurant, i witnessed him go above and beyond to other guests while I was checking out at the lobby. Both manager and receptionist staff i interacted with were super friendly and accommodating. Hotel super well located, couple steps away from the beach, and several stores, restaurants, shopping mall, subway, etc.

AustraliaThe elevators were so slow. TV had no English channels. The pillows were flat and lumpy. The view was a concrete wall and it was really noisy. The air con unit sounded like a wind tunnel all night.

United KingdomWe stayed at Mirasol Copacabana for 2 nights and it met our expectations well. The highlight was the huge bed, the biggest I've ever seen. There was a shower but no bath in the bathroom. The breakfast was very good, buffet style, with a range of pastries, cakes, fruits, meats and cheeses, breads, scrambled eggs, etc. We spent some time on the rooftop loungers one afternoon, but I didn't use the pool. The pool was very small and had a few sun loungers next to it. There were some additional tables and chairs near the small bar, and a nice raised area with a couple of loungers and some other comfortable seating. Pool towels were available free of charge. There appeared to be some renovations/building work happening on some of the floors of the hotel, but it did not affect our stay. The location is perfect, taking just a couple of minutes to walk to Copacabana beach straight down the road. Beach towels were available from reception for free. There was a R$20 fee if you want to store your bags at the hotel prior to check-in if you arrive early. We stayed in two similar hotels by Copacabana and they were quite similar. I think probably most of the 4-star hotels in the area offer a similar experience so I would go with whichever gives a good price at your time of booking.

United StatesThe hotel has 17 floors and only two elevators. One of them was out of order at New Year's Eve. Along with the hotel's guests, all staff used these elevators with full carts of equipment. By the way, a very limited number of hotel crew can speak in English. Only guys at the front desk. There was also a pretty annoying problem. The hotel rooms are claimed as a soundproofing, but we can hear almost every word of our neighbors' conversation. Especially the TV sounds - it seemed like this TV in our room. And two additional tiny things: the shampoo in the hotel is very cheap and poor; for double room it was provided just one glass.
The location was great, and breakfast was pretty good. The view from the roof was beautiful.
