Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaNo sidewalks. Far from shopping and restaurants. A lot of early morning construction going on across the street.

CanadaIcan live with a shared washroom but some people seem to think it is their own.I feel the television was limited. Everything on is dated. There should be a note informing people to leave the bathroom door open when not in use.
Quiet, clean, pretty easy to get around…although it is a fair distance from restaurants and shopping if you are not driving. Nice neighbourhood….A lot of construction going on though. All in all it serves its purpose nicely.

Costa RicaThe location shown in booking is not the real, this listing was acting as an AirBB product, property is 500meters from subway station (which is ok). The central A/C - heating for the whole house, kind of uncomfortable because every guest will adjust it to the own needs… no groceries around or comercial.
House dedicated to hosts, nice neighborhood. Well equipped kitchen, very clean house.

United StatesNo sidewalks, it wasn’t critical but a little inconvenient. Neighborhood is quiet but I was a little scared walking from the train station at night time. Lyft was very affordable too though so there is an option to just use that.
Loved the price. When everything was so expensive (Eras tour weekend) this place was so affordable. My room was big and clean. Shared bathroom was fine to me, only first night I had to go several times there to be able to get in, other 3 days/nights it was always available. Overall I was very happy with this accommodation.

SingaporeThe location on booking.com is not accurate. The accommodation is actually further away from the train station than listed (10-15mins walk), and they would only let us know 1-2 days before our stay. This annoyed me the most, as location is the key factor for me when deciding on my accommodations. I would have just paid extra money to stay in a hotel in the central area, as the area has 0 food options nearby after 6-7pm. We arrived hungry from our 14h flight, only to realise there was no food in the area. Also, there are so many people staying in the house, it was intense. There are at least 6-7 rooms of strangers? This house is just a money churning machine for the owners.
It was fairly affordable, and in a decently central part of Vancouver. The rooms and toilets are quite clean, and shampoo/soap/towels were provided. Bring your own toothbrush/paste. The contact person provided via WhatsApp was pretty ok, and seems to have tried to reply to my queries on time/asap where possible.

United StatesI could hear some of the other guests at times, but it wasn’t a huge deal. I also didn’t like how I had to share a bathroom, but that was expected when I booked it.
I liked how affordable it was, as a solo traveler from Portland on a budget. It was pretty close to the SkyTrain station, and it was overall a comfortable stay for someone that didn’t require a ton of amenities.

JapanThe laundry dryer didn’t work very well. Also there was an air freshener in the room but I don’t like strong scents so the smell bothered me.
Affordable, clean, has a kitchen and laundry, other guests and owner kept to themselves and didn’t talk to me much. (Quiet)

CanadaThe bathrooms were a little iffy. We couldn't flush toilet paper and the trash cans would fill up fast and smell bad.
No breakfast. Location was beautiful and quiet, close to the subway, drug store, liquor store and a restaurant.

CanadaI would have like a mirror in the room for getting ready without having to go to the shared bathroom. The neighbourhood doesn't have sidewalks
The shared bathroom is gorgeous. I appreciated having a tv in the room. Close to train!

CanadaNo complaints what so ever to the property at all. It was absolutely what I was looking for in terms of just needing somewhere to rest. My complaint is with certain guests more so. I understand that the restroom was shared, and I found some guests to be quite selfish with it at times at very strange hours. Some guests thought the whole washroom, kitchen area was theirs and were constantly closing the door and shutting people out from the area. There were signs everywhere stating to be midful of others as the facilities are shared and to not leave items in the restroom and to clean up after yourselves in the common area. While most did, it's unfortunate that others ruin it for others. If you plan to stay here please be midful that you are sharing a space with multiple guests.
Loved the common room area. Relaxing and comfortable with a nice vintage vibe. Very welcoming. I enjoyed that kitchen and laundry hours were only until a certain time in respect for the other guests. It was greatly appreciated. (There was a guest who was also staying there on my last night who didn't respect this though. A little disappointing, but what can you do)

Great budget accommodation...we had quiet room downstairs. Convenient kitchen and free washer and dryer. Jug and tv in room. Stayed 5 nights. Only one bathroom downstairs but wasn't an issue. Easy 5 min or so walk to Canada line station which goes straight to waterfront or downtown.
