Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe coffee could have been tastier. But that is a personal thing.
This was the best motel I have ever stayed in. The staff were exceptional. The room was perfect. The most comfortable bed ever, lovely sheets. Coffee maker, fridge, microwave. So many towels it was better than a hotel. No joke, The Cactus Tree Inn should not be driven past. And it was the best value in the whole of BC. It is clear that the people running this place care. The details show that. Make this your choice you will not regret it. I stayed an extra night rather than take a risk down the road with anything else. 10/10

CanadaIt needs an update, pool wasn’t open but area around the pool is really tight. Check in hours are limited but apparently you can check in online as doors have codes not keys Cost was high for what you get. Coast would have been only $30 more and included breakfast. Would have been a much nicer place to stay.
It is run by a family who lives on site, so we were happy to support them. It was clean, on the main street but quiet. Had a kitchenette that we didn’t need but was nice for longer stays. Good shower

CanadaThere were parts of the room where some cleaning was needed; splashes here and there which were missed. I leaned back in the tub and it was gritty.... It was very, very noisy every night and early in the morning. Both with people outside getting together and being loud, and with the walls being paper thing. I could hear someone sneeze (Literally) in the other room. I had hoped for a peaceful rest, and I did not get it. I woke up wondering if someone was in my room...at 1 in the morning.
I liked that I could walk down the street to get coffee and a muffin. I liked the lighting and that the bed only featured sheets, not blanket. I liked soaking in a tub. I liked the key pad entry. I never met staff as I did everything by text, which wasn't a bad thing, I just cannot comment on staff since I never met anyone.

AustraliaIt was very dirty. Hotplate liners were full of black dirt, toaster still full of crumbs. Fridges in bad need of defrosting. No maintenance has been done for a long time by the look of the inside the rooms and outside in the grounds, not even the gardens were attended to. Bbq was filthy, rubbish stored out in the open near the bbq facility which attracted flies. The cleanliness in the rooms was extremely poor. The sheets were paper thin and the pillows were more like cushions, the bedspreads reminded me of the 70s. One of the 3 rooms we booked did not have any kettle, toaster, cups etc fortunately we carry our own crockery and cutlery. Had we not paid for 2 nights we would have definitely found an alternative. The male owner/manager was very chatty but the female was not and it felt like she couldn't wait for us to get out of the office. The price charged did not reflect the quality of the rooms. Definitely not value for money. I also stated I would pay when I arrived but when we got there the receptionist had already taken the payment and didn't seem to care. There are lots of other motels in Oliver or move on to Oosyoos.

CanadaThe staff at front desk wouldn't acknowledge any of my issues. When I mentioned how dirty the room was, she told me that she has never heard that before. Any other issues I stated, were equally cancelled out by her response. She just didn't care.

CanadaRun down. front desks front door was literally coming apart and couldn’t even open or close properly. Toilet in room was absolutely filthy. They either need to use CLR and replace their extremely stained or dirty toilet seat. Bathtub had dirty rings. Metal rack is hazardous and juts out into the very narrow space between bed and bathroom. And really shouldn’t be in such a narrow space.
