Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The breakfast room is too small for the number of people staying there.
This is our go-to hotel, when traveling out west.The staff are very welcoming. The beds are so comfortable, we always have a great sleep. The hot breakfast is excellent, and coffee is on 24/7. Check-in, check out, was fast.

Regrettably, I left an expensive men's razor in the shower on departure. I called back, but it had not been turned in at lost and found. I was to receive a call back in two days if it was found. Unfortunately, whomever cleaned the room on our departure must have really needed my new, expensive, Gillette, oscillating safety razor. This is a huge disappointment.
Breakfast was the standard "awful waffle" with the normal hotel extras. An older building modestly renovated. Check-in staff lady was very welcoming and helpful.

The bathroom fan and the air conditioner were so loud we could not use them. The stair well and the hallways could use a clean up. Lots of noise from other guests so I guess the rooms are not that sound proof.
Location was good and the price, bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

Check in took over 25 minutes, the employee was so slow. Our room was disgusting. Every mirror was smudged with dirty hand prints. There was hair all over the bathroom (possibly dog? Maybe human) one of the hanging towels had a clear dirty hand print on it. The bed was horrible. We had a king room and the side of the bed I laid on was so punched out I literally felt like I was sleeping in a coffin. My husband rolled over to me and it felt line he was rolling off the bed! It was so bad, when I was laying flat on the bed on my side my body was level with the other half of the mattress! I was really disgusted with this place. Comfort inn is usually our go to but this location was horrible.

Room is dated. Towel bar was ripped off the wall. No security chain on the door. Didn’t find an elevator. Tough for seniors to haul their luggage up the stairs.
Bed & pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was nice.

The sheets had not been changed and there was hair all over the bed. Clearly the bed was made after the previous guest hoping we wouldn’t notice. Also, the floor was dirty. It looked like the place had not been vacuumed in weeks.

The pillows were horrible, they were feather and had zero support. The air conditioning system was horrible. Turned it on and about 3 a.m turned it off as it finally reached temp (20c). It sounded like a truck tractor on high idle all night, horrible.
The bed was firm, the soft night light in the bathroom was very nice. They served a hot breakfast which was good. Nice pressure in the shower.
