Room 3708 wad cold and could not adjust the heat. The hot water was warm but not hot. Advised the front desk but nothing happened.

Breakfast was basic, but fine. Check-in took around 30 minutes. Cannot use the luggage trolley outside of the building due to accessibility issues.

Loved the unique property, and the tasteful touches to the history of the building. The room was large, decorated well and very comfortable.

This hotel is beautifully imposed upon the original courthouse, with many features maintained and repurposed. The location is excellent, the view on the water side is fabulous, the beds are dreamy, and the breakfast room is well appointed. The staff go out of their way to make one feel welcome. Parking is convenient.

The weight room was small but still had enough in it for a good workout.

The room was comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. The building is so unique and the view from the room was beautiful. Breakfast being provided was a nice bonus. Definitely would stay here again.

Room was basement location, unable to see outside windows for view of harbour. Only heat option was oscillating fan. Carpeting was laid over marble bordering of sorts causing carpet to be lumpy and making it hard or open door. Potential for stubbing toes or tripping.

Honestly I can’t think of a thing ! Loved it and will stay again.

Our room was just outside the lobby. Completely sound proof ! Huge room with the nicest amenities. Breakfast was the usual hotel breakfast, nothing fancy but lots of choices.

I missed having a lounge area downstairs to sit in.

The room was very nice, very clean, very comfortable and had a super view over the lake. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were helpful and pleasant.

Breakfast is very basic: can provide better quality products such as better bread. I miss the Acca Kappa products that they used to offer. The current products offered is over-fragranced that I find off-putting. In previous visits I am greeted (if there is even any greeting) by dour people without a smile. I am struggling to bring my suitcase up some steps and a hotel employee, instead of maybe helping, just showed his impatience and rushed by me as soon as I moved to the side to allow him to pass.

The beds--the most comfy beds in town with nice linens. The new person at reception (?Nicole) is a breath of fresh air. Lorinda who I sometimes see at reception is friendly and very helpful, going above her duty.

At first they were allocating us at basement room, Then we spent littel time on arguing for lake view room as we already gave preference on booking.com. Then that front desk person spent littel more time to discuss with supervisor after that they allocate us 2nd floor room. Which one as well doesn't have any lake view.

Was a little disappointed that our room was on the lower floor so could not see out the windows unless I stood on the bed. Would have had a beautiful view of the lake if we would have been one floor up. I had read some bad reviews about being "in the basement" but I really didn't feel like that's where I was. The room was large, clean and the beds were comfortable so I got over the fact I could not "see out the windows". We spent two nights there exploring Thunder Bay so when we were back in the room we were ready to flop on the beds and watch TV so I didn't really care about looking out the windows. I love old buildings and it was lovely to see that they made this relic into a hotel. It was very pretty lit up in the evening.

The breakfast was typical of any hotel offering it that I have stayed at. Some things better than others but left not feeling hungry to start the day.

The entrance into the building because of the stairs is a challenge. We did not try the alternate accessible entrance however.

The location right downtown overlooking the harbor and lake were spectacular. The bed and bedding were of the best we’ve ever experienced. The furnished bathrobe and towels are second to none.
