Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThere is no "free parking", only street parking. No coffee or sugar, only tea bags. The place was overhead.
Very clean, decent price

CanadaGaps under the doors were disruptive to privacy. There was little natural light in the room. The location wasn't ideal for walking around and seeing things. However, there is a bus stop nearby, and it's of course no problem by car.
Very large room with a TV including Netflix, etc. The washing machines were very useful and free of charge. A Freshslice was just a 10-minute walk away, which was very convenient for us.

GermanyNo personal interaction with staff or other guests (staff was responsive on WhatsApp) bit of a weird smell in the rooms (but not too bad) not very welcoming, but ok for a few nights for arriving or before leaving. Location did not match description in booking.com (the actual location got sent via WhatsApp)
Cheap, short walk to sky train. You can lock the bath rooms (just need to understand the locking mechanism). Bathrooms were clean.

MexicoTo be honest, nothing. Maybe the sounds from other guests, but it wasn't bad. Everyone was respectful.
The staff was very attentive, and the room was big and clean. I had trouble entering the house, but they answered my questions quickly. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. The house was lovely as well. The bed was comfortable, and they turned up the heat at night.

IrelandShared cooking facilities are quite limited, but each bedroom has a fridge and kettle.
Check-in instructions were provided in advance and check-in was simple. The hosts were offsite but were available via phone or WhatsApp and were very quick to respond. The house was nice and warm and very clean. The bedroom was clean and spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. The location is nice and quiet, and close to Kerrisdale and Oakridge. There is a bus stop very close by to go downtown, or you can walk 500m to Oakridge - 41st Avenue Subway Station to get the subway/Skytrain to or from downtown or Vancouver International Airport.

CanadaAs all the rooms are packed with zero ventilation the rooms kind of sting. Only the kitchenette has an open window
I requested an attached bathroom along with my room and they provided me that. Grateful for that!! couple of rooms in the house and the common area was at the ground level along with a shared kitchenette. The location was good too. Open parking alongside the road.

BelgiumThe house we stayed in was not the house in the pictures. We wanted to stay somewhere close to the SkyTrain, which was absolutely not the case (location is not correct). The 'kitchen' is hardly a kitchen. There are very few kitchen tools and appliances, so you can not really cook there, just heat things. The walls are very thin. You can hear the full conversation of the people next door. The garbage can in the kitchen is too small. Even though they empty it every day, trash was piling up every day. This could be a great guesthouse, but the house definitely needs some work.
Very comfortable bed an spacious room. There are plenty washrooms in the house for all the guests. There is a washer and dryer free to use. Check in was easy and the host is very responsive. There is a hairdryer in the downstairs bathroom for everyone to use. The shared spaces are clean enough (not spotless, but good enough).

IrelandMy room was in the basement with no real window to open which meant it had a stale smell at end of evening when I returned. Also it’s not where it shows in the map. It’s about 5km further

New ZealandWalls are very thin, conversations in adjoining rooms were quite audible. It did seem there were permanent residents in the house.

GermanyThe room was a little smelly (basement room) and the house had a distinctive damp smell. We can hear other neighbours (every single word) but this didn’t disturb our stay.
We like the area very much, nice neighbourhood with close supermarkets and easily connected to city centre via public transportation. Nice, quiet and safe. Laundry facilities and outdoor area. Kitchen facilities simple and contain everything that is needed.
