Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomDespite having had reservations about coming due to such an unfamiliar and complicated check in procedure, in addition to having viewed the hotel exterior and surroundings on Google Maps and questioned safety within the area, once inside, everything was pretty much perfect! Moreover, the hotel is situated in an excellent location within Montreal, close to the central station, a metro, the water front and a great selection of bars and restaurants. Huge, spacious, state of the arts living space, supplying practically everything needed. Whilst provision of Netflix was a welcome bonus, we would have also have liked to have had national tv channels, including news channels. Appreciate the souvenir hotel gift bag, but we would have preferred a welcome gift in the form of more coffee pods or a bottle of wine. Washing up liquid was provided, as was an old, used dish sponge – only a small gripe, but a new and hygienic one is preferrable! Reassuring to have staff on reception at a regular point each evening. Also, to have a 24 hour mini market 2 minutes walk away. All in all, a super accommodation in a lovely, old building in the heart of Montreal.

CanadaNot a big thing but I found the hallway very dark. Also the rain shower head is in need of maintenance as it sprays out of the seam unit 33. A box of kleenex would be appreciated.
I liked how responsive the staff were throughout the booking process. Also the unit was very comfortable and well equipped. Could us 2 more coffee cups 😁. The exceptional customer service including the personal note from Melissa impressed me. Keep it up!!

CanadaThe instructions to check-in/ check-out were very clear but at times I wish I could have contacted the front desk and talked to a person for instance for things such as a late check-out.
The location is at the heart of Old Montreal, the place is a little mysterious to get inside, the design fabulous, and the bed super comfortable!

CanadaThe shower is a little bit small, but serviceable. It would be nice if there was a mirror closer to the bathroom sink. The hallway/entraceway to the building has an unnecessary (and DISGUSTING) amount of HEAVILY fragranced air freshener. It's quite over the top and not needed. Major thumbs down for anyone that is scent sensitive. Luckily it's only at that part of the property.
This is a beautiful room in a great location. The kitchen is well stocked, the bed is comfy, the keyless entry is a nice touch too. Quiet place with a quaint feel. Will definitely stay here again.

United StatesYou do need to pay $22 a day for parking nearby because parking in free parking on the streets is nearly impossible! The parking lot for parking is very close so that's nice.
The room is very clean, quiet and modern. The location is incredible! Top of the line appliances and they have thought of so many details.

Canada- TV was absurdly slow for us, even after system optimizing. - Some soap scum at the bottom of our shower. - Alexa was in french and we didn't know how to change it to English
- Loved the location and convenience. ~5 min walk to the metro system. Didn't feel like a regular hotel but more of your own apartment/loft - Many great cafes and restaurants nearby - Self check in was smooth and easy Staff was available to help via text/call promptly - Many towels provided - Large bed and warm - Enough cutlery and dishwasher detergent was provided

CanadaTwo small things: there should be a shower door, even one. Our main showerhead was not working and the little one was too small actually.
Once we got the hang of having no formal check in we were fine. All the instructions that were sent over the phone were clear. We enjoyed the size of the room, having an actual kitchen, also, the lighting was a big bonus for us. we will use your place again!

United StatesUnfortunately, this hotel is a horrible choice for anyone prone to asthma or who has any sensitivities to smells. Right upon walking into the hotel, one is met with a very pungent smell from the cleaning products that are used. That smell exists in the rooms, too. It gave my travel companion an asthma attack, and it gave me a headache. Also, the shower is completely see-through and out in the open, so it is not a great hotel choice for folks sharing a room who are not romantically involved. There is no privacy for the person taking a shower.
The room had beautiful amenities--everything we needed. Excellent appliances, thoughtful inclusions like laundry detergent and dishwasher pods, a comfortable mattress and great water pressure. The room is wonderfully appointed, with really no details considered. Close to many parking lots and garages.

United StatesThe apartment's design leaves much to be desired. The room is very dark, with very little natural light coming through. There's zero privacy: neither the shower nor the sink are in the bathroom, but in the middle of the room, and the shower glass is see-through! (I guess we should be grateful that at least the toilet was behind closed doors). All of this together, coupled with the gray concrete floors, gives off a "bachelor's pad" vibe, which is really not our style. As other guests have noted, there's also a strong sense of stinginess: we were given only four coffee pods and 2 dishwasher detergent pods for a 4-night stay, with guests expected to pay for any additional supplies needed. The heating was very inconsistent, randomly switching from hot to cold. To make matters worse, the vents carry strong smell of cooking from other apartments, and the loud footsteps at night are so disruptive that, to a light sleeper such as myself, earplugs become a necessity. There was a day when the building hallways reeked of weed, but luckily the smell didn't get into our apartment. We give it an 8 for cleanliness, the bed, and the amenities (washer/dryer, iron, ironing board, fridge, stove and utensils) but we will not be returning to this apartment.
It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location was great.

United StatesThe shower has only a slightly tinted glass wall half-covering the opening that is transparent when you turn any lights on. Which wouldn’t be a huge deal except that the shower and sink area are completely open to the whole rest of the apartment. There are no walls at all. With a mom and teenage daughter, it was a little awkward, but if we had been mom and son, it would have been a big problem. Or if anyone is visiting the room- no one can shower. There is also no way for one person to get up and start getting dressed while someone else sleeps in. Any light shines right onto the person in bed.
This hotel is actually loft-style apartments with a full kitchen, little living room, and bed/bath area. We were sooo excited to find a full sized washer and drier which was a huge help to us. The decor is brand-new, super modern, and beautiful. The check-in system is all digital and worked very well. They have great videos on how to use everything in the apartment. The location is right in the old town area, walking distance to everything we wanted. The king-sized bed was super comfy and the shower had great water pressure. There are drawers under the bed and on each nightstand so you can put away all your clothes. They even provide cozy bathrobes and a soft throw blanket for the couch. The thermostat was the easiest to use that I’ve ever found at a hotel and we could change the temp to always be comfortable. Extra shout out to Jamie, the night manager, who saved us when the door to our laundry room locked and we couldn’t get our clothes out from the drier! He answered my call at 10:30 pm and came up to the room so we didn’t have to wait until 9 am the next day when the normal staff was in. We loved this place and didn’t want to leave!
