We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Canadawell, having a night booked for two weeks in advanced for an anniversary with my other half we could not get our room until a full 1.5 almost 2 hours because it was not cleaned yet. after we had it reserved and travelled far. Not only just that, the room was not the clean at all because i’m assuming they rushed as we complained that we travelled far and expected our room to be ready for us. They also had charged me twice leaving me with no money for the weekend and i was not able to get it back right away. it was extremely stressful and frustrating and making a weekend that was suppose to be good not good at all.

I have no paper indicating this will in fact happen. They gave me business card of manager to contact in case it is not credited to account

CanadaLiterally the bare minimum services that a hotel must provide: a bed and washroom. Can I fault the hotel for inflation? Not really, but $400/night for the bare minimum stings.
Our room was really nice. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bath tub was a really nice way to relax with a hangover.
