Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

We don’t have pans but I didn’t ask too
The place is close to most of the attractions of the city even the day was cold the attraction you can do it walking I only use the public transport for going to the island and the supermarket

Everything was great I just am not a fan of the downtown core anymore, so nothing negative to say about the place itself :)
A very chic and modern space with a big TV and complementary coffee/tea and some snacks! It was also clean and great for downtown lovers (which is not usually my thing) but it's an awesome place overall IMO!

Gabi's place is a comfortable, spacious basement apartment in the Cabbagetown district. Easy walking distance to many places. Great to be able to park the car at the location and not have to worry about it for the rest of the visit. Gabi is a wonderful host. She was kind and immediately responsive to any requests.

Tidy clean and cozy. Location is perfect to distillery district and downtown Toronto. Gabby was super helpful. A perfect little get away location. And the free secure parking was the icing on the cake.

Very clean and spacious with all amenities you could hope for like mini fridge, coffee and snacks provided, etc. Host was also extremely friendly and helpful with our last minute booking. Great location with secure private parking onsite.

Everything! Parking was safe and secure. Accommodation close to events s we were going to. Clean and comfortable. Easy access. Bottle water available. Gabby was very accommodating.

Communication with host & check-in and parking all fabulous. This place was perfect for me & my daughter for a one night stay, whilst we were in town briefly for a concert. Clean, comfy, warm and everything there we needed. Thoughtful extra touches of snacks, water, coffee. Great location for Rogers Centre (quick taxi ride). Best was being able to park safely at the property, without having the costly parking garages at hotels. We LOVED this apartment. Thank you Gabby for being a wonderful, helpful host.

We had the best time at Gabby‘s place! It‘s amazing - beautifully decorated and cozy, you‘ll feel right at home! Gabriela and her husband were so welcoming and helpful, making our stay truly special. The location is perfect - a lot of sights are in walking distance. We‘ll certainly stay there again if we ever come back and we can only recommend staying at their fabulous place!

Everything was great!
Location is perfect. Close to Church-Wellesley area and quick walk to Dundas-Yonge Square. Quiet street. Gaby was communicated perfectly and was always available.

It would be helpful if the pre booking info mentioned that the one bedroom suite is a basement. It didn't make it clear until after booking but the suite was so lovely and well lit it didn't matter to us.
Lovely basement suite, great decor, exceptionally clean and well lit. Close enough to walk into the downtown districts.Gabby advised us on a couple of nearby roads to avoid so our walk downtown each day was great. What made this place exceptional and very memorable was our hosts Gabriela and Ciprian. The most welcoming people you could hope for. So helpful and kind, it felt like a home from home. We can't recommend this place enough. THANKYOU!

The apartment was immaculately clean, beautifully furnished and a great location - quiet and close to the city centre. The accomodation was nice and cool when it was very hot outside which made it easy to sleep. Checking in and out was very easy and exactly what we needed after a long flight. Gabriela was a wonderful host, she was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. She adds lots of thoughtful details like the bowl of snacks and extra towels which made the stay feel even more special. The neighbours were also very friendly, and the street was a lovely leafy avenue. We would highly recommend Gabby's Place to anyone visiting Toronto!
