Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The neighbour upstairs was a bit loud in the middle of the night? Maybe thin layers between the rooms?
Very clean. Comfy beds. Good linen and towels… no, great linen and towels. Kitchen and fridge were great. Very spacious.

Lacking a few essentials in the room: the shower gel was empty and there was no sponge to wash our dishes.

Nothing it was amazing! One note is the pull out couch is small. My son is 6’ tall so it was small for him. But it would accommodate children just fine.
It was across the street from the water. Had a beautiful view from room 204. The rooms were exceptionally clean so was the entire property.

We found the bed was a little too soft and became uncomfortable through the night, but it is just a preference thing. Also the shower was lacking in the water pressure, but not a huge deal.
We loved the location, as it is close to all the shops and restaurants. The room was very clean and tastefully decorated with a sleek modern design. We had the creek view which was lovely if you like the sound of flowing water. We were contacted by text message that we could check in early and we're given an option to check out late, which was really lovely.

Insulation between floors is inadequate. Footsteps upstairs are quite loud.
It was a perfect little place. Nice location. Very well equipped! Nice staff.

Host is super friendly and accommodates our request for early check. Location is superior in the heart of downtown Gibson, everything is just steps away. Room is newly upgraded, very clean and fully equipped.

It would have been great if the room had a hairdryer. I needed to plan ahead when to wash my hair.
The room was clean and cozy. having kitchen facilities was helpful to cook a simple meal in the room. Local coffee and tea were provided.

It would have been nice to have a warmer blanket on the bed. There was just a top sheet and a very thin bedspread.
Very well appointed and clean. We loved the coffee that was provided. Easy to walk to the restaurants.

There is little traffic noise because of the corner room.

The suite was very clean, comfortable, new furniture. They provided specialty tea and coffee made by local producers. We really enjoyed that.

One of the blinds in my room was broken, which meant an entire half of the window was permanently obscured. A hairdryer would have been useful.
Clean and pleasant room, spacious and with good facilities. Location was great, steps away from the marina and lovely walks by the sea and under 10 minutes walk from the town, shops and cafes and restaurants.

The walls are a little too thin, so you if the other guests are talking loudly, moving furniture, or have an infant, you can hear them.
Very clean, central location just off ‘downtown’ Gibsons by the water where all the shops and restaurants are, steps away from the community centre, and Michael is an amazing and very personable property manager! The bathroom was very clean. Bookings at this property does not come with toiletries.

No screens in the windows, so we couldn’t have the windows open after dark. But air conditioning. Also, elevator up to third floor was slow.
Excellent location near the marina and shops. Ocean view from our third floor room. Patrick the manager was very attentive and Linda the housekeeper kept the room immaculate.

- No screen on patio door. Manager stated that no units had screens. This was untrue as other units witnessed noted to have screens. - Floor Air Conditioning unit excessively loud.
