Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaWould have preferred to not have a shared bathroom. Not sure if that was clear in the description. But we only stayed one night, so no real big deal.
Gite la Veilleuse is a really sweet B&B. The rooms are clean and spacious and the breakfast was absolutely fantastic! Very generous portions and absolutely delicious. The hosts were super sweet and very helpful! They suggested a great spot for birding nearby and it was amazing! We even spotted beluga whales! Such a delightful surprise. We were only there for one night as a stopover to our final destination, but so glad we chose Gite la Veilleuse. Would definitely stay there again.

Our room was very nice and comfortable. The breakfast was cooked fresh for us and beautiful as well as delicious. We loved their beautiful backyard with its extensive view and made use of the picnic table to have our simple picnic supper on arrival. The hosts were friendly and helpful.

CanadaAll good.
We chose the Gite la Villeuse because of its proximity to a huge birdwatching area. We were only passing through and wanted to make the most of our time in Riviere de Loupe. We could have stayed for several days. The location was, indeed, spectacular, with sightings of thousands of snow geese and many other birds less than a minute away, but the inn was very special too. Louise was very comfortable with our late arrival. Her inn is a delightful and comfortable home. The room was exactly as offered - actually, better! Small craft and art works on display were so interesting. The panelling of the room and the quilt and bedding - features that added a sense of comfort. We were offered a breakfast choice the night before, with a very accommodating range of 6 am to 9 am for breakfast hours. We were able to be out early for a couple of hours for birdwatching, and then came in to a really, really nice breakfast. Artful and nutritious! The Gite la Villeuse is a gem.

United StatesBed situation slightly uncomfortable. Be aware that the hosts don't speak English.
Nice setting, with views out over the river and a nearby nature preserve (great birding!) The house is spotlessly clean and well appointed, with many thoughtful amenities. Exceptional breakfast, beautifully prepared & presented, with local maple sugar & lots of fresh fruit. The hosts clearly care about making it comfortable.

Wonderful and welcoming b&b especially for touring bicyclists. It is right on route verte 1 and there is a garage to store your bike. And the breakfast is fantastic! Our host let us in early and there is a great local eatery Resto Pub D Antan just up the road that serves the best ever chicken club a cyclists dream

CanadaI might have hoped for a more 250 year old look on the inside of the house (the caché, as the host put it) but that is just a superficial expectation. The spotless cleanliness, the thoughtful Q-tips in the room (that went straight to my husband's heart), the excellence of the breakfast, the kindness of the hosts made up for any imaginary shortfall.
The breakfast was delicious with a variety to meet different tastes. The hot chocolate was extra-ordinary! The only way to get more liquid chocolate would be an IV drip into your veins! The hosts are gracious and very pleasant to converse with.
