Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe only aspect that we would have wished for is to have our own bathroom and shower rather than sharing with other occupants, however the facilities were clean.
Beautiful cozy B&B, very welcoming, comfortable room with a comfortable bed, delicious breakfasts prepared with care.

CanadaThere is only one bathroom upstairs. If occupied, has to go downstairs to the restaurant. Just a small inconvenience during the middle of the night.
Nathalie is a wonderful host. The room is very nicely decorated and comfortable. The breakfast was just soooooo delicious and the coffee was yummy. I needed to store some materials in the fridge and Nathalie let me use her fridge space in the kitchen. Much appreciated! Unfortunately, this time the restaurant was not open. I'll try to come again on a day when the kitchen is open to try the food.

CanadaThere was road traffic noise in the morning, but nothing unbearable.
The best breakfast I have had and a sound sleep. Natalie is the perfect Host The Bistro was lively with music and people outside enjoying the warm night. Natalie took a few minutes out of her busy bar to greet us, show us our room and mover her suv so we could park in her spot. She quickly brought us two glasses when we ordered a cold Chardonnay. It was crisp and delicious as we sat on our own balcony above the perfect music and listened to the laughter and French spoken below. The music wound down and Natalie visited us to make sure we were perfectly happy, and we were. We had a sound sleep in her comfortable queen bed then went downstairs for breakfast. Well, we were absolutely delighted with the breakfast she lovingly prepared. One of us had a crepe surrounded fruit while I had eggs bacon and fruit over sautéed vegetables. A Michelin level breakfast!!! Natalie said,"we eat food with our eyes" So true. Natalie took our photos in front of her Buddha wall and I bought a Jazz Bar Namaste Sweatshirt to remember…

CanadaNothing.
We took a five day driving trip to Halifax and the Auberge was the highlight of the trip. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. Their was an extra sink in the room which we found convenient. As a B&B with a shared bathroom we were a little nervous, but everything turned out well, and there were even extra bathrooms on the main floor. The host was wonderful, warm and fun. After a lovely night, the best part turned out to be the breakfast. I had the wrap, my wife had the crepe. It was my favourite meal of the entire trip.

CanadaI didn't read closely enough about the details while booking. It is a shared bathroom, which wasn't a problem for us, but perhaps not for everyone. It was clean, and we didn't have access issues. I would have booked regardless.
The breakfast was excellent. There was a choice of the usual bacon and eggs, crepes with fruit and another (I forget). We chose the crepes - a light and moderately healthy choice. Service was exceptional, by Nathalie, the owner, who provided us with lots of local information. The auberge is really well situated, half block from the main street, which has lots of restaurants, etc. The bistro itself wasn't open on the day we stayed (Tuesday).

CanadaMy son and I stayed at Namaste while in town for a hockey tournament. Natalie and her wonderful staff welcomed us and made us feel at home. We had early morning games and Natalie herself came to make us breakfast. The rooms were clean and comfy and the food in the Bistro was superb. Everything we ate was great but I had the best onion soup I've ever had and I am still dreaming about the breakfast egg wrap! My son's team won the tournament and Namaste was a part of this special experience. We will be back again. Thank you to Natalie and her wonderful staff for a great weekend.

CanadaWe knew in advance there was a shared bathroom with two other two guest rooms, so no complaints from us. It is obviously lockable and only one person or couple at a time - so not a big issue. In case of urgency there's another bathroom downstairs.
A tasty full breakfast including gourmet coffee was served. The room was spacious and comfortable. We loved the bistro and fun live entertainment on the patio in the early evening (weekends). Be sure to book your table - its popular! The owner rightly is proud of her establishment and works hard to please.
