Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesStaff was very accommodating, yet when we checked in, the cost on the website we went to before checking in was less than we were charged. Not sure why. But thank you!

CanadaSwimming pool on second night was very cold so had to get straight out. Could have more options at breakfast, especially for kids, cold options like yoghurts or cereals would be great.
Nice hotel, very clean. Swimming pool on the first night was nice temperature. Overall, we would definately stay again.

CanadaThe hotel sits pretty close to the train tracks, so if you have a room at the back of the building you will hear the train in the night. Our AC unit wasn't functioning 100%, it quit after only a couple of hours of running. We let the front desk know and they were more than happy to move us if it continued to be an issue. It quit again in the middle of the night, but powering it off/on reset it again. The hotel must use water-miser shower heads because the water flow is really weak. Lots coming out of the faucet, just not the shower head.
The hotel is older but kept in nice condition. It's in a great location on the main street, walkable to several food choices, and a laundromat. Breakfast was a nice buffet with eggs, potatoes, bacon, and french toast (typical of most hotels these days), BUT, the coffee/juice was served to your table and the plates/cups/cutlery were restaurant quality (not paper) which was a nice surprise. Beds were super comfy!

CanadaI'm a returning guest here for many years. Love the location. Never had issues with parking. Rooms are clean and comfy. Inside pool with a hot-tub is a bonus. Included breakfast is always fresh and delicious.

CanadaBreakfast was very disappointing. We got a box breakfast, muffin, orange juice, yogurt, apple. There apparently was a buffet at 10am but we were unable to get there at that time. Sunday, we were able to get to the buffet but it was not offered on Sunday. Disappointing.
Good location, staff helpfull.

United StatesVery minor complaints. The bathroom light had a loud fan that could not operate independently. The bathtub would have been improved with a grab bar and shelf for soap and shampoo.
Location is on the main highway and is walking distance to the main part of the town. The bed was comfortable and the room had a nice sofa. Parking was easy and plentiful. 9 minute walk to Allegra Mediterranean restaurant, my favorite spot in Cranbrook

CanadaThe room had a very strong smell, I can't even tell what it smelled of. The air conditioning unit is too small for the room, its loud and useless. It was so hot in the room, I didn't sleep much. Also, we booked the hotel through Booking.com and the one thing we looked for it was pet friendly. This hotel came up and we booked the room, however at the hotel we are told over and over that we didn't book a pet friendly room. The lady at the reception was not very friendly but she accepted us with our puppy.
Location of the hotel is very good, they include breakfast, and we enjoyed the coffee. Didn't get the chance to use the swimming pool.

United KingdomThough everything still works, the hotel is very tired. The carpets look as if they could do with a really good shampoo. An elevator would be welcome. Because of staff shortage the breakfast came in a box which had to be collected from reception. It was dire.
The pool and jacuzzi were welcome.

CanadaWe chose this hotel as it offered a free hot breakfast. When we checked in we were told breakfast went till 11 am the next morning and to grab our breakfast voucher at the front desk in the morning. When we got to the front desk at 10:24am to get our vouchers we were told breakfast had already ended and we could not get a voucher. Very disappointing given that was one of the main reasons we chose it. We were told when we went to check out we could go get breakfast but would not receive the voucher as promised when we booked. The front desk told us we would need to take it up with booking.com and offered no recourse. We were also missing conditioner in our bathroom and I had reserved a premium room and I dont think that was what I got.
the beds were very comfortable

CanadaThe resteraunt food was disgusting. The one Meal came on mouldy bread. You could see and smell the mould on it. The chicken parmigiana was not hot yet over cooked. Mush on a plate.
Standard breakfast but late starting in the eating area. The box breakfast was unusual and not what I expected at all.

CanadaWe expected more from the breakfast. It was just ok-ish. We booked this hotel because breakfast was included. The hot options were ok, you get to fill up on hash browns, watery scrambled eggs from a carton, sausages, and pancakes. That was it. There was no other option. No cereal, no yoghurt, no fruits, not even a toast bread or jam. No juice dispensers, you had to ask the server for juice.
The 'premium' room we had was very spacious with a small couch and an extra table where we could eat dinner comfortably. Comfortable bed.

CanadaNo elevator. We watched an elderly lady with a walker struggling. she was unaware there was no elevator. She was not offered help by staff either. Doors were locked when we tried to pack up our car at 4:00am and was unable to exit building. Feel this is unsafe for emergency situations. I needed to find a staff member and wake him up to get doors open.
We were happy that we were able to book a dog friendly room.
