We enjoyed our stay in one of the two cosy, charming, rustic cabins at Hillside Bungalows. The cabin is well set up for an extended stay so was perfect for our three nights in Banff. It was great being able to sit on the patio and enjoy the view of the mountains. There's guest parking available which was great to have. It's ideally located within walking distance of the centre of town with all the restaurants and shops. The tour we booked picked us up from there too so that was a bonus, instead of having to find the meeting point in town.

So cozy and comfortable. Small but enough room and everything we needed for our 11 night stay in March and April. The owner Chrissy was so friendly and helpful, we felt right at home. Very sad to leave.

It was a great location. The Hosts are more than easy to deal with. They are super kind and easy going. Available for whenever we had questions. We went for a 3 night stay and it was really relaxing and felt like home. Will be coming back!

No doors on the bedrooms, refrigerator is too small. The bungalow is so small that we didn't have a place for our luggage. I was able to place mine on a kitchen chair and my friend placed her luggage at the end of her bed. They need recycle bins for the bungalow,

I liked the location, off street parking and the owners are very nice. It is cozy and the internet worked well. I liked that they had a kitchenette. I also liked the push button coded door. I would stay here again.

Great little stay in Banff. Easy walk into town or there was a bus stop right outside. The cabins gave us enough space to relax and included a kitchenette, bathroom, lounge space and 2 bedrooms. Pin code access so we didn't have to keep track of a key. Our host was very welcoming and allowed us early check in. Banff accommodation was so expensive, this was the only affordable accommodation we could find, we got lucky!

Small bathroom but expected for a cottage

Great little cottage in walking distance to Banff town. Cozy accommodation with all the required amenities including a small kitchen. A lovely little lounge area with gas heater, two double beds. The host was very helpful with tips for the area. 10 minute walk to Banff town which was really helpful. Onsite parking.

A bit of a makeover would do wonders, great spot but bungalow doesn't look like it's changed for a good while.

This is a really difficult accommodation to review. It's not perfect! When rating we must remember it is advertised as a 2 star accommodation, however, even as 2 star we were very surprised that many previous travellers rated it as a 10, those 10 ratings is what convinced me to book, usually we'd go for a higher star rating, accommodation is expensive and overpriced in Banff and accommodation wasn't particularly easy to find. Perhaps my expectations were too high. Chrissy is a warm and friendly host and we felt welcome. As we were travelling for 5 weeks in total, we were eager to have a kitchen available for our 4 night stay in Banff. The kitchen is well equipped, no dishwasher and a small bar fridge. Access to a washing machine would have been great, Chrissy offered this on our last evening. There are 2 beds, they are not queen sized, they are small and one in particular is extremely uncomfortable. We slept in separate beds, which wasn't a problem, but we were glad that option was available, there's no way we would have slept comfortably in one bed. There's not a lot of extra space with beds, lounges, tables, etc. We prefer minimalist! Bathroom is tiny, we managed ok with that, although the plastic shower curtain needs replacing, no power points in the bathroom. Extra linen provided. Be aware that the hosts live in main house, there are 2 Bungalows on same block of land as the house. If you'd rather be completely private this might not be the spot for you, if you like to chat to the hosts each time you walk out the door I'm sure they'd be happy to share a drink with you and have a chat. We enjoyed our stay. Nice walk into town, not around the corner, but we found it handy.

I loved the cozy cottage! While very walkable to town- it is a little outside the downtown which is perfect for a peaceful getaway. Chrissy was a fantastic host!

It was so quiet but close enough to town to go out if I needed. It was comfortable and had everything I needed in the kitchen. Sitting by the fire reading a book was just heaven in the middle of a road trip
