The location was very convenient. The guest house was comfortable and cozy and the host, Alan, was welcoming and accommodating. He checked in with us to make sure everything was okay and offered to do a load of laundry for us. It was great that we were able to use bowls, cutlery, etc. in the kitchen and you can put items in the fridge and even cook meals in the kitchen! We really enjoyed our stay.

A bit noisy but it is on a main street, so you can't expect to be quiet with the windows open.

The house is opposite the water, with a lovely view of Detroit. A waterfront park opposite, safe for walking. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and I was instructed on cleanup. Large, open rooms and porch.

Room was a bit small, only little space for two suitcases, but ok.

Good and safe location, directly at Detroit River with view of Detroit skyline. Room was clean and well equipped, bathroom looked new and clean. Water boiler and coffee, cookies and water was all available. Host was very nice.

Be aware the bed is not firm. It was fine, but foe those that like a firm mattress, this was not it.

The bed in my room could have been much better. It was not an actual mattress. It was two bed frames and 2 mattress foam toppers. It was very uncomfortable.

It was a great location with a great view. The host was super communicative and attentive. He was very accommodating as well and provided necessities for guests.

Our drawers were a total mess. Looked like they hadn't been cleaned in ages. Bed was sinking into the ground and the AC kept going on and off throughout the night. Through the night, actually it wasn't even on and that was a bit unpleasant.

Second bed was underneath the bed, single bed on wheels, sheets didn't fit the stained mattress and between that and the fact everytime I moved the entire thing moved, it made for a couple rough nights.

I stayed in two different rooms a few days apart at the beginning and end of my bigger trip. The room with the balcony was a bit tight, but it did include it's own bathroom and of course the balcony. The door to that room was also difficult to open. Still nice and clean though with everything you would need. A room with a king bed facing the street with a shared bathroom was a bigger space. Unfortunately one of the window blinds was broken so I was not able to close it fully to keep out morning light. Besides that it was very nice. Although the bathroom was shared the shower was incredible. It was huge with a waterfall shower head! A few things need some fixing, but overall it is a great space.

The parking approach is quite confusing to me, I guess you have to park on the street. Hard to talk to the owner and understand each other, though it wasn't an issue when communicating through the app. Place was clean mostly, but I found a huge hair strain on my pillow. There was no coat hangers to put my jacket in the room. It might get noisy as well, I could hear cars passing by, there is a jar of earplugs that you can use.

Got that great view. The place is not far from the border crossing. The Wi-Fi connection was decent, there are also kettle and microwave available along with tea and coffee options, which is great. Shared bathroom is large and has big shower, I had no issue using that since it was free most of the time.
