You can't beat this little gem with a view. The owner is so thoughtful and everything is done to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Would definitely return.

The wall and baseboards next to the bed had multiple spattered food or drink stains and really needed a good clean. Uncomfortable bed.

It's a cute little place, close to the casino, and a water view. I was a little uneasy as there was two other bedrooms up stairs, so you have no idea who is sharing the upstairs with, but my stay was nice, and the owner was pleasant and also lives in the downstairs. He has a little problem with English, hard to understand, but very nice and we just texted over the phone which it made it easier to communicate with him. I would stay there again. I got the room with the balcony and a bathroom, the other two rooms share a bathroom, but it was huge with a walk in shower. I don't justify spending $300.00 a night, just to sleep in a bed and have a shower. I stayed there for $200.00 for 2 nights

Once I booked there were a lot of messages that went through my email. So many that I missed the owner asking me if I needed a parking spot. Once you open the emails you see several boxed sections of text, it's confusing to see the owner's current message and easy to miss correspondence. Once I asked about where to park the owner screenshot the question I missed and kept showing me that I missed his question about parking several times. I'm not sure what that was about, I just wanted the instruction for where to park. He eventually sent me a text with the instructions. There's a dog on the property that barked at me when I came in, and in the morning when I was leaving. This would have possibly woken other guests up. The kitchen is dirty and cluttered. There was a full sink of dirty dishes to wash. Cleanliness wasn't the greatest. My room had been sprayed with an air freshener. I had to open the window to air it out before going to sleep.

The location is good, it's close to the border. The free parking was appreciated and I could check in late. This is basically like a hostel with a private room. Shared common areas and bathroom. I liked the extra blanket in the closet since the covers were thin.

The old guy who own this property is rude and racist. He kept nagging to move my car parking eventhough I parked it per instructions and wasn't causing any blockage. He came knocking at my door in the night while I was sleeping asking me to move it for no real reason. I refused since it didn't make sense and I was sleeping and it was cold outside, also he doesn't speak English well and I couldn't understand what he is saying. He only left the room once I told him am going to leave tomorrow early morning. In the next day he woke me up very early to leave or move the car. My experience staying here was horrible. It looks like he wasn't happy that I stayed in his place and didn't want me from the beginning although I haven't done anything wrong.

What an absolute treat to stay in this lovely, clean, warm and loving home. I can't say enough about how cozy, comfortable and safe I felt there. Alan is an absolute gem of a man who clearly loves making guests feel welcome. Every detail was so lovingly thought out. It is really hard to describe the experience of staying here, but within minutes of arriving I felt as if all of my stresses had dissolved completely. I loved the little basket of treats in my room, and how Alan had the bedside lamp switched on and a video of a crackling fireplace playing on the t.v. screen. The amenities just outside of the rooms included a fridge, microwave, coffee and tea supplies. And the big beautiful common area and kitchen downstairs were amazing.

I booked a room with ensuite, it needed a good clean. Hair in bathroom floor that wasn’t mine, tissues behind the bed. The bathroom the other guests used needed a deep clean.

Bed dipped in middle causing both to slant towards middle. There is a step down to the bed that could be tricky at night. Cleaning company didn't clean bathroom very well. But great location and nice owner.

As stated in the property description, communication can be a bit difficult. I called to know if we could check in earlier than planned, was asked to text instead, but didn't get a reply to my text until after we had driven to the place and found out that it wasn't possible to check it yet. Also parking is complicated, there are only a few spots in the back alley but they want to you park on the street first, then they text you little diagrams of your exact spot. Not a huge deal, and it is mentioned in the description that they don't speak much English, but still kind of annoying.

Location was very convenient for us and the place was mostly clean. Seemed to have a pretty well furnished kitchen, but we didn't use it.

Everything was fine at the accommodation facility. As a suggestion to the local government of Windsor, ON, please, arrange more road crossings for pedestrians in your city with signs and bright stripes on the road surface. It is not normal to walk for 200-300 m in a modern Canadian city to find a safe crossing.

Very friendly hosts, met me halfway all the time. Location is perfect. The Detroit River is just across the road. The railway station and the city centre are just in 15 minutes on foot in different directions. Very good coffee. The products for breakfast were fresh and of good quality for the price. Thank you, Alan, and the whole family, for your hospitality and kindness.

The whole house was really cute and homey, and the bed is probably one of the most comfortable ones I have ever slept in! I also greatly appreciated the kindness of the host -- a pleasure to meet, and I hope we meet again!

One side of the bed had a huge dip in it, probably time to replace mattress, I slept in the middle so it wasn’t a big deal for me and still overall comfortable, good pillows, but something to consider if booking for two people. I also prefer accommodations with all white bedding, makes for a cleaner consistent feel.

Location was excellent. Right on the trail and minutes from the Detroit Windsor tunnel or bridge. Nicely updated private bathroom with decent water pressure. Clean room with small closet and chairs with table to set all your things. There was no balcony seating so I just used a chair from the room and put it back when finished. Nice west-facing view from balcony overlooking river and downtown Detroit. Easy self access to house and room. Other guests were no issue.
