Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomVery dark room, no view. Don't stay here if you want to sleep, kept awake every night by people chatting on balconies and in hallways. Zero sound proofing

CanadaThe room that was originally assigned to us was on the first floor which really was in the sub-basement level as the patio was half in the ground, with eye level looking out onto a courtyard where there was construction going on. Construction workers using a saw and hammer with lumber piled up and a piece of equipment to lift heavy objects or people, parked outside our "patio". No consideration given to client's comfort from these noises or the construction workers' early morning starts. I ask for another room and was accommodated with a second story room. Not enough blankets on the beds and none in the room as extras.
The roof top was lovely.

CanadaFor the price the room was small, the pull out couch was filthy inside with no linens to make the bed. The chairs on the balcony and the balcony were filthy and covered in bird droppings and food. The pool/hot tub area is in rough repair with loose tiles everywhere. Paying $500/night for a dirty room with no simple perks, like a complementary water in the fridge for each guest, is ridiculous. I have stayed in rooms for $30/night around the world that were better maintained and came with water. What happened to value and service?
The bathroom seemed clean.

CanadaDespite calling prior to our arrivals and sorting out check in/deposit holds - there were inconsistencies based on what we were told prior and what was said upon arrival. My husband unexpectedly could not arrive until the following day, we were told that it would be no issue to hold the damage deposit for the weekend on my credit card and at check out he can charge the stay on his credit card. On arrival, they take a hold of your entire stay plus a deposit. I’ve never seen this type of hold from any hotel before. Typically it’s first night plus a deposit at most. I was able to compromise the first night and $200 deposit for the weekend and assured the front desk when he arrives he will take care of the rest of the hold. Which was fine until I learned I’d be losing access to the room and amenities from 11am to 6pm until he arrived. This didn’t make sense to me. It wasn’t until the next morning when I expressed concern and had a lengthy discussion that they made an “exception”. How can a $640 hold not be sufficient until 6pm the following day? This situation/inconsistencies in communication and lack of customer service was highly disappointing. This was my fourth time at the moose but sadly I think the last. There are other hotels in the area that provide much higher levels of customer service and understanding for the same price point.

New ZealandI’m sad to say but we were a bit underwhelmed this time. We were a large family group and had our adult kids from the US join us for a family celebration but the 4 rooms we occupied seemed tired, and there were clearly staffing issues in the restaurant and bar. My husband was briefly unwell with a fever one night and we stripped the bed sheets off the next morning and left them in a bundle on the floor only to return to our room to find the bed remade with the same sheets.
This is our third visit to the Moose Hotel which is located within easy walking distance to Banff’s shops, restaurants and ski hill bus stops. It also offers free underground parking.

United KingdomThe main hotel area with reception and bar / restaurant was cold ! The main doors had no inner door to keep the warmth inside and were often open . This meant the whole of the main hotel was empty ( including the bar and restaurant) and the poor reception staff had to wear coats . Such a basic design error .
The hotel is more an aparthotel - with most rooms being very small 1 bed apartments. The complex is quite big and most blocks are only connected to the main building by external corridors / paths .

CanadaЩо we paid quite a small amount for the room, and we were accommodated, one might say, in a cellar! no view from the window, no mountains, nothing this was the first thing that spoiled the whole impression the room was extremely small, there was no place for the children to even play a wet carpet that left everyone with wet socks and the main disappointment is that the heating and the battery from the window did not let anyone sleep at night it hums like a tractor, it makes it very hot, if you lower the temperature in the room, it immediately becomes cold. also due to inattention or incompetence of the staff, we had to return 120 km after departure to collect the deposit when my husband handed over the keys to the room, no one said that the $200 debit deposit will not be automatically credited to the card, but that the card must be inserted into their terminal they started calling and writing to ask us to come back we did it but our trip was just ruined, we lost so much time for it, the children were crying((((

United KingdomThe room was on the ground floor and had a big stone column in front of the window which meant it had no view, was dark and we had to keep blinds shut if getting changed etc. The room was tired and the tv didn’t allow us to connect to any apps such as Netflix (not a major issue but given price and fact it’s 2024 I would expect this as a minimum). Overall it just didn’t feel worth the price (except of course for the pool facilities and beautiful common areas- but room was dated and I was disappointed given what we had paid).

CanadaMy room was comfortable, though the old AC system was a bit loud during the night, but it didn’t detract much from the overall experience.
The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the hotel itself has a cozy, inviting vibe. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to stay in a great spot with good service!

CanadaOnsite restaurant is quite poor for breakfast. Slow took 45 minutes for 2 poached eggs and overpriced.
Room was good. Very highly priced for what we got. We received an email from you offering a 15-20% discount if we booked for 2- 3 days and that offer started 7 days before we go there. When booking we were offered nothing. Kind of annoying.
