Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe bathroom smelled quite strongly of mould and perhaps sewer gas? Perhaps some bleach would help decrease the smell.
Being able to park in the alley was super convenient. The facilities like the kitchen and bathroom were adequate. My room was very nice with wifi, charging station, and a desk. The bed was comfortable. It was a good price for a nice warm and welcoming room to sleep for the night. I also enjoyed having access to Netflix and watched a movie. Mostly I am appreciative of Nasih removing the scented items from the house for my stay. That was very kind. Thank you Nasih.

HungaryThe walls are really thin so it can be noisy, the insulation is not so great.
The house was very close to public transportation, and the downtown can easily be reached by bus. The bed was comfortable and the room was just like it was shown on the pictures. The shared rooms were mostly clean.

CanadaThe house is right next to a busy street, you can hear traffic and noise throughout the night. Although provided a portable fan, the room can get stuffy and hot on a summer day.
Host was super responsive and accommodating. 7/11 right next to the property, super convenient. Also enjoyed the self-check in and check out process - very smooth and easy!

United Statesthere is a smell in the room, maybe mold? I'm not sure, I left the window open and fan on but the smell doesn't go away. Also, got my birks sandals stolen by one of other guests, not the host's fault but I guess it's the risk of living with other strangers in the same household.
price is reasonable, location is convenient

CanadaI am thinking this is the price for a place near Richmond. I always opt for a more affordable place to stay, with less frills. A few more ammenities would be nice, but good for a night's sleep and commute.
The owner was very kind to set me up when my plane was a bit late coming in the evening. It was a very big and comfy bed. The traffic is no issue as some have stated. The room I stayed in was on other side of home. Also, I like white noise to help me sleep. I would return. Location was easy. There is a bus from skytrain station and I was there in 20mins or less. There is a 7eleven next door, which is bonus.

SwitzerlandWe didn't like the smell throughout the flat, but that might be a matter of taste. The fire alarm device was beeping occasionally and loudly on a very high and disturbing frequency. The shared bathroom was very dirty, with pee and pubes on the toilet.

It was homely, and I loved everything. Was allowed to check in before the official 3pm time. The host was pleasant and helpful, and guided me on how to get around in vancouver as it was my very first time. Made me settled and feel at ease. The house was warm, with a very comforting space and bed. The location is very convenient, with bus 22 going Downton passing right outside and ticket outlet right at the corner Will be back when I come back here!
