While the apartment is a bit hidden and not close to the city centre, it is an ideal location for trips by car.

We have fantastic experience. The room was spacious and well-maintained, providing a comfortable stay. Although the bathroom and kitchen were shared with other guests, we were fortunate to have the space to ourselves during our stay. The owner was exceptionally nice and helpful, ensuring that we had everything we needed. The kitchen was well-equipped for two people, making it easy to prepare our meals. The room had a comfortable bed and good wifi which added to our comfort. I also appreciated having a separate entrance, which offered additional privacy and convenience. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and convenient place to stay.

It is run by a very nice lady, it was clean and comfortable. My only concern was that I didn't know if the whole area (big kitchen and bathroom and bedroom) was included in my rental. I guess it was as nobody else showed up. The place is very big and I would go back.

We'd read that some previous guests had difficulty finding the place, so did some research first. To be fair, there is no Red Robe sign (but that helps with privacy) & the road (Yorkshire Terrace) is so short it isn't named on GoogleMaps. We thought that parking anywhere along the driveway as suggested could prevent Lloyd & Swan getting egress, though as we had just the one hire car, there was room for us to park still allowing their vehicle to get out. We're sure guests with two cars would come to an arrangement!

We loved that once one room of the two available was booked, no other guest would be booked in, hence exclusive use of the bathroom & adjacent kitchen. The fully equipped kitchen was a bonus, allowed us to have our breakfast when we liked & to make evening meals using foods purchased at shops in the area (Walmart up the road), if we wanted to stay in after a day's touring. The separate, number pad coded entrance enhanced the privacy too. Swan was an unobtrusive but excellent host, always messaging first to ask if anything was needed. We enjoyed her informative one on one Chinese tea making demo (for longer stay tea drinking guests only though!).

There was no breakfast provided. There are excellent cooking facilities and we brought our own food.. it is spacious, with a private bedroom and a common area. Swan, the host, is kind and helpful.

The bed is comfy however will creek easily, so I found myself wanting to move slowly as to not make noise even though I didn’t really need too.

The pillows on the bed were flat, and personally I could have used more. The bed was very firm, somewhat uncomfortable and I found myself tossing and turning through the night.

The B&B had everything we needed, included shampoo and conditioner in the shower, personal towels and clothes. The bed was clean, with clean linens. The kitchen facilities, while basic, were adequate and functional. The whole space was very clean and well kept.

Nothing- it has a full kitchen which I wasn’t prepared for! I would bring instant oats or other food next time. The kitchen/hall is a shared space where I met the host’s husband who was nice.

I liked how friendly the host is- she greeted me when I arrived and offered me some lychee sweets and chatted to me. Very gracious and welcoming. She also gave me tips on things to do and see I. The area. The view from the top of the hill is worth the walk.

The room is located below a living room. Could hear the owners entertain and walking around. I was told I have the basement for to myself. However someone opened and closed a door next to mine. The light was on in the morning. Was it another bedroom??

-The washroom is shared. -there is no private entrance for the space. - you pay in cash only. -The location is not too central, you will need a car indeed.

The place is quiet enough for a good night sleep. The room is well cleaned. The owners are nice and welcoming people.
