Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The arms to the hotel parking lot were left open and not operable. This allowed anyone to enter and exit as they pleased with zero monitoring.
Location to transit was fantastic. Allowed for travel of the surrounding area to occur with ease.

The common spaces are of acceptable cleanliness, but the rooms betray the critical need for renovation - ratty disintegrating wood, ancient fixtures, yellowing paint - not to mention the camp and cringey Asian motif pulled straight from an 1980's off-strip vegas casino. My partner and I separately got trapped in an elevator but managed to get out with some struggle. Worse, the room phone was broken so we used our cell phones to inform staff. Their answer : "We know already, it will be fixed tomorrow." It wasnt, of course. I just hope the next unsuspecting victim didnt have a panic attack inside.
The location was better than expected (the area is low-density commercial zoning, so think big box retailers, casual food, car dealerships) so you dont have to walk more than a block for groceries, snacks, the metro, a bite to eat or a beer. Check in/out was fast and easy, and the price was right for GP weekend.

They didn’t clean the rooms. Didn’t give us clean towels check in people. Didn’t know were places were in there own town.

It was difficult to get a clean towels or toiletries in this hotel. We had yo ask a few time to get a couple of shampoos. They didn’t clean the room during our stay(7 days)

Front desk poorly organized as we were rerouted 3 times! The first room had only one bed, then the next room was already occupied! Very frustrating as we had to lug our suitcases all over the hotel.

they put me in the old building. I have stayed here before, in main building and I had no complaints. the old building was pretty awful. there was a smell in the room, don’t know if it was smoke etc. I had an allergic reaction, did. it sleep all night.

Bathroom sink plug broken, shower head full of limescale and half the nozzles broken, bathroom full of tiny flies. Ends of thr beds chipped and dangerous resulting in a bad scrape and bruise, one of the bed lights broken. Hotel wifi very slow and intermittent, the restaurant advertised on the website and in the lifts is no longer there. No housekeeping after three nights. The hotel room was not as clean as it could have been. There was a coffee stain on the back of the door that could have been easily cleaned. It was very disappointing that room service was not part of our visit.

It was not very clean in the common areas. The fridge in the room was not very clean. Also there was no daily service to the rooms and no porter or other services that are expected of a 4 star property

Cleaning staffs doesn’t make up room and cleans room until check out, it’s difficult to stay long in a room that was not being cleaned for days together
