Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe location had relatively good proximity to the airport but still a bus ride and a 10 minute walk away. Would recommend getting an Uber if going at night as the location didn’t feel super safe to walk through.
Lovely house, felt like being welcomed into a family. Very comfortable and clean, great waffles!

United StatesIt's in a residential area, so once there it's not so tempting to go out again.
Large living room area to meet fellow travelers. Free coffee and waffles for breakfast. Hostel owner family on top of one's needs and simply great people.

United KingdomMy bed was high up bunk bed which was quite small and cramped, and hard to get into/out of. Some guests in hostel were friendly but some were not, this is obviously not up to the hosts. Kitchen had one portable stove to use & kettle but this was all in terms of cooking.
The hostel was perfect location close to the airport with access locally to public transport, the hosts were very helpful and had some good chats with them. Good facilities in terms of lockers, storage, kitchen space. Nice chilled atmosphere with garden that had good sunlight and quiet area. Tried Nan's Noodle House nearby which was so good!!! Hosts went out of their way to help me with something unrelated to booking, which was very appreciated.

AustraliaThis is a very good small (by number of guests staying there) hostel, closer to the airport than the Calgary CBD, but honestly you can see the CBD attractions in a day. Local buses are about every twenty minutes heading there and cost $3.70. All local transport including light rail is $3.70 you get a 90 minute transfer period from the time you buy the ticket (so keep light rail ticket or ask bus driver for a transfer, so for the bus best to buy it on board (they don't give change though). Bus 4 or 5 depending on direction takes to or from Centre St CBD (a couple of blocks from that light rail stop). One of them also meets up with bus 300 to Calgary Airport. none of the local busses have any issues with having backpacks or other luggage by the way Bus 38 leaves from the next main road south of hostel neighbourhood and takes you east to the Sheraton if you're going on a day tour that leaves from there such as to see the dinosaurs at Drumheller. My bed was really comfy. Both showers were great pressure, hot water, plenty of space outside of them to leave you clean dry clothes you're going to put on. There's a kitchen. Note there isn't a really close supermarket though, nor much takeaway food options the nearest being the Canadian franchise A & W. There's also a Denny's (yeah they still exist in Calgary), a really expensive Pizza hut, a few non brand name options. If you continue walking another 15 minutes or so north and then east across the tracks you'll get to a Walmart and other shops. The hosts actually make some blueberry waffles and store them in the communal freezer which you can put in the toaster for breakfast. Both of the hosts are very friendly and approachable. Happy to answer any questions, let me store my bags there after checkout time as had a late night flight. Takes about an hour to walk to CBD from hostel.
