Little privacy curtains on the top bunks like on the beds below would be a minor improvement I’d suggest. Also the door between the bedroom and the kitchen didn’t shut properly.

This hostel feels like a home away from home! Really calm and comfortable :) Easy access to both the city and the airport by bus. And those blueberry waffles are such a delicious freebie - thanks so much!

The location is a little bit far from downtown but I understand.

The location was not easy to find if using public transportation.

The owners were extremely hospitable, generous with their time, experienced, and brilliantly connected to indigenous values and goals. I was humbled. What was given was what I needed: a clean, good-value location to sleep for a few hours between flights.

Bob and Marthika were very accommodating hosts. Felt very at home straight away as Bob collected us from the airport. Very comfortable and friendly environment.

It was my best hostel experience yet!! It feels so familiar and the hosts are both so nice and helpful. The common room/living room is especially comfy. The blueberry waffels were very great as well. Thank you so much for the days a spent there!!!

The Host are very welcoming and the property is beautiful both outside and inside. One of the most comfortable stay I have had. This place is not like other places who try to rip you off by charging more during special events like Stampede. they kept their price fixed throughout, which shows the amount of care they put in serving their customers and not just there for the money.

It would have been better if there was a stove to cook on. There was a hot plate that didn't work.

The location was great. It was only an 11 miles from the airport and a two miles from a grocery store. The hosts were very friendly and available. They showed a an interest in the personal lives of their guests and were generally interested in hearing about our lives and endeavors.

Far from town but they have bike available to borrow and bus stop within 15 min walk.

Nothing. The property was extremely clean, the hosts were accommodating in a way that can only be described as maternal. The kitchen was large enough for multiple guests to use at once. Both bathrooms were clean.

The property was extremely homely. The communal space was a tv room with comfortable sofas that were phenomenal to nap on post flight, drink beer on and just relax on. In the outdoor garden I gleefully watched beautiful sparrows and woodpeckers fly in and out of the steel gazebo, in the mornings you will catch wild hares and squirrels running through the lawn. Bob has put considerable work into the outdoor garden with edible berry trees, a fire place, and feed for the birds.

The hosts were lovely, very kind and friendly. They have a beautiful home. It was very clean. The shower and the waffles were my highlight; the shower pressure was amazing! And the waffles were so tasty!

Good all round. No hostel sign outside, found it by the house number. Would have liked a little shelf next to the bed with a light and a charge point. Can highly recommend this hostel.

It’s in their house so it feels a little intrusive You have to pay for everything, like washing clothes for example It’s near the airport but not central Calgary so there’s nothing to do within walking distance

Nice space if you like to be close with other travellers Bob the owner is very nice and accommodating The garden was a nice space Bob made a batch of waffles for all of us for free which was so kind

Felt like home. I stayed in 4 different hostels during the trip and nothing felt as home as this one. Shower pressure was amazing, waffles in the morning, encouraged to conversate with each other, lots of TV options, the list goes on.
