This place was amazing. Bob was so friendly and helpful, he put us straight at ease and was so accommodating of our needs. It was very clean and homely and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Location is great, you can get the public bus outside the hostel to downtown for only $3.60. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Bob, the Host takes a himself much time to get to know his visitors and makes everything to let them have a good time. That can be BBQ or fire or a video/filmsesseion. He also has a lot of interesting stories of his life to tell

Our flight was delayed and we arrived a couple of hours later than expected, after the 22pm check in due hour. We called the hostel to make them aware and request an alternative way of entrance but they refused to show any flexibility (including no refund or partial refund). We were obliged to book another accomodation at the last minute.

The rooms are in the basement of their home so on a night it’s loud as it shakes under every footstep. Kitchen facilities were not adequate for the amount of people staying (1 ring for cooking) and only one appliance can be run at once else the electric trips. Individual bed light did also not work. Although bedding was clean, floors etc were not, there was a lot of hair around my bed on arrival and stayed there for all my trip.

The owners were helpful and refunded my third night which I’m grateful for. The free blueberry waffles were also a nice touch. Owners also gave me a bottom bunk which I requested :)

The owner verbally and physically assaulted me! They made me sit and wait in the common room for an hour until 10pm before I was given my bed. They were out drinking, upon arrival the woman was irritated and short with me for being late. I told her my plane was delayed, I wasn't aware they would be waiting that's unlike any hostel I have been to. Also I was waiting for an hour. She said loudly well to bad then stormed off. Her husband came in screaming about a minute later saying " WHAT THE F##K IS YOUR PROBLEM". Quite confused I asked him what his problem was? Getting in my face and yelling that I was rude to his wife. He smelled strongly off alchohol and was slurring his speech. Waiving his hands in my face aggressively I put my hand up to stop him from touching me and he slapped my arm. He couldn't even tell me what I had said or done he was just very drunk and angry. If it wasn't 10:45 I'd have left but I had a 6 am flight and needed sleep. He proceeded to yell at me for about 5 minutes then came back and yelled again. The man is mentally unstable! I have never in my life had an experience like this. I've been to 30 countries countless hostels and no issues. If you want to stay here you better show up on time or don't bother showing up! 0/10 most people would have called the police on that lunatic.

I got top bed with no proper ladder to get up to the bed they plus they have luggage on the floor make the access more difficult due to the room so small. They don't have anything to lock your bagage you have to trust people they won't steal 🤨 overalls is not really have hostel vibe more like guests room. But with ppl in your room
