Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The mattress is a bit too soft and the bathroom sink is clogged.
I love everything here especially the floor heat in the bathroom, I’m actually thinking about getting one for my house hehe.

Clean plus amazing service, it was a spontaneous last minute decision so we needed a new iPhone charger & other small amenities & the front desk helped supply everything we needed. The beds are absolutely PERFECT! Plus the bath tubs & heated bathroom floors are to die for

Staff at the hotel were fantastic. The atmosphere was nice and laid back and the room itself was perfect for us with very comfortable bed an luxurious bathroom. Staff were really nice and helpful throughout our stay and very accomodating by allowing us to extend our stay numerous times at short notice due to unforseen personal circumstances.

That we couldn't stay longer!!
Beautiful room! The heated floors in the bathroom are delightful, and the shower was amazing. You couldn't have a better location if you're enjoying downtown Toronto.

All really good - however, the pool and jacuzzi could do with some extra love.

Nothing not to like, just nothing that extra bit special that would tip the rating into exceptional. Feels like you are getting what you pay for and you are paying for quality room and good staff.
Good location. 10-15 minute walk from Union Station. Room had view of CN tower and Rogers stadium, both very close to walk to. Relatively close to streetcar links and subway. Staff very courteous and professional. Nice room, good bathroom facilities, nice shower and bath. Heated floor a treat in winter. House-keeping tidied each day (not like some hotels that have kept house-keeping on request since the pandemic). Surrounding area felt safe (relatively to the rest of Toronto) we travel a lot by foot and no concern coming back at night. Hotel is close (10 minute walk) to where a lot of tours depart for Niagara Falls trips. Number of vegan places for breakfast brunch within 15-20 minute walk (Bloomers bakery, Bunners, Fresh Kitchen + Juice. Evviva is 5-10 minutes away, not vegan but has full vegan menu) if that's your thing.

Parking is way too expensive in the hotel lot.
Friendly and helpful staff. We had a minor issue with our room and they immediately moved us to another. Concierge was ready with restaurant recommendations and directions. The fitness center was very well equipped.

We loved this hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean. The suite we booked was spacious and we loved the heated floors in the bathroom. It was so convenient for Rogers Centre and the CN Tower. Whenever we return to Toronto, we will undoubtedly stay here again.

The price for this hotel was high in comparison to other hotels we booked for our 6-week holiday. Maybe all of Toronto's accommodation is expensive, I'm not sure. In most hotels the reception and concierge staff acknowledge guests when they walk by, but this was rarely the case at the Soho hotel Toronto. Not a major complaint but still....
The room was great, a good size and well stocked with everything we required. The walk-in robe was a bonus and the bathroom great. The hotel is in a good location for tourist attractions and restaurants etc.
