Great staff, great hotel, great location for us. Having said that, the card readers at check-in are absolute trash. Stayed here in late February. Tried 2 different readers several times on two different cards before approval. Same thing again end of March. 5 denials on 2 cards on both readers before approval. After check-in, went to their bottle shop next door and the shops card reader worked fine. Also, no tap available on hotel readers. Met a couple in the elevator who experienced the same situation. They were very upset. Felt it to be very demeaning. I know my cards are valid. Nonetheless, it is embarrassing, knowing your cards are good, to have your cards rejected especially while others are waiting to check-in behind you. Replace those readers. They're not that expensive! As an aside: provide traditional coffee makers. Keurig is a poor second.

Unfortunately the coffee maker in the room did not work so I didn’t get my morning coffee. 😩

We enjoyed our dinner in your restaurant. The ‘Snitzel’ was excellent- above average!!

Stayed in King Suite as party of 3 adults for 1 night. Great central location. Spacious. Good shower. Cons. Some noise from event at pub next door with line of people stretching in front of hotel and could be heard from 4th floor. Pullout sofa bed uncomfortable.

There were zero towels in my bathroom, but one quick phone call and they came up with them within about 5 minutes. Just a minor oversight, quickly fixed.

It was very noisy during the night and early morning. Someone outside was powerwashing at 6am

The only problem was the elevator broke for a few hours. Unfortunately it was when I was leaving the 3rd level. I now will ask a hotel if they have 2 elevators. I am traveling with a 4-wheel walker.

Very clean and nicely updated. Loved that there was glass ware in the cabinet (including wine glasses). Enjoyed the pub next door! Beds comfortable and location right downtown.

Gaps between the windows and frame, it was very windy one night and the gaps caused alot of wind noise

Elvie at the front desk was friendly and helpful during check in, even though the hotel was old, the room was nicely renovated and clean.

There was not any slipper in the room and when I asked it was said that it is our rules not to have slipper at room! When I was checking-in I asked to deposit 250 $ for probable damages and It should have been paid by Credit card NOT debit card!!!!

The morning front desk lady. She just wanted me to throw the key in the bin and leave. She said she will not give me any receipt and in the evening I had to call the hotel again to get a receipt which I got within five minutes.

What a wonderful location and the interior, the outlook, the sticky wicket.....everything screams the true essence of Victoria. You can literally walk all around and take a bus to anywhere around Victoria in just 1-2 min walk. The staff helped me with checking in early in minutes and also easing out my worries of checking in with a debit card. I will forever cherish this stay and recommend HIGHLY to book this place for its most epic location, price and everything else.

Light "pollution" around the main door quite intrusive. Very small window looking; onto grubby flat roof . No breakfast offering of Any kind

Everything was okay, except form some occasional noise from people on the street.

Very convenient location, close to the downtown core. Restaurants around. Not far from tourist hot spots. The rooms have been refurbished.
