Very central hostel with only 2 beds dormitories. John at the reception was very helpful, as I had an heavy bag. He chose for me a room with no noise as there was an event in the pub downstairs. The pub is also welcoming. Easy transit and close walk along the sea and Canada place. It is not luxiurious, but the price is good for a night stay in downtown Vancouver.

Most of the front desk staffs' service standard leaves much to be desired. Efficiency of heating system in the room totally not present. Should have proper locker in the room instead of cages. Cages are for catching mice. Electrical outlet at the wall opposite the bed. Surprisingly the "noise" from the pub had not been an issue even though I was on the first floor. It started to get annoying when the inconsiderate hippos moved in.

Appreciate the housekeeping staffs working extremely hard to keep every corner tidy and clean. And they greet and smile amid the hectic chores. Location within walking distance to amenities.

It is somewhat old facilities. It was not perfectly cleaned, but I don’t complain due to the price.

Compare to others nearby, the price was acceptable for a private bed room with shared washroom. Staff was nice and willing to help.

very loud club downstairs (it was quiet around midnight though), the lock to the bathrooms and the lock to the dorm room bith didn‘t work properly, no power socket by the upper bed

friendly staff, luggage storage, dorm with just 2 people, easy to reach near granville/waterfront station, nice kitchen, bed was comfy, nice cages to lock in your stuff under the bed

The young guy at the reception was outrageous and very responsive to your needs. I asked the room with some specific requirements (less noisy and on top floor far from the bar on the ground floor), and the guy was very kind and caring.

The bed was very hard which was disappointing. The location for parking was not good. Everything around was very unsafe and despite trying our best, our car was broken into. Would have loved to have know this at the time of booking or been given some solid advice on where to park when I asked at check in.

Room was spacious and had everything we needed. Location was great for walking. Staff were kind! Check in and out was easy and the multi level locked doors and cameras made us feel safe!

Pricey for a dorm room, but what isn't these days. Oh and missing soap dispenser in the ladies room, 3rd floor.

Clean, pretty quiet for DT van (though I only slept at 4am). The front desk staff were pretty friendly and told me where to find good New Years celebrations in the area. Free brew coffee in the kitchen!

Biggest issue are the bed bugs, get a bed bug spray in your own home country to save some money. When you have bed bugs in your own bed, the rest of the issues doesn’t seem to matter anymore.

5 min walk from Waterfront station, gentle hill walk from station. Great vibes.

There are no electric outlets in the room or in the bathroom. The only place where you can charge your devices is in the kitchen, which was inconvenient. There are mice in the property!

Nice staff Good location Other reviews talked about noise. I asked to have a room that was far from the noise and it was ok. There were only the cars from the street which was not disturbing.

Bedrooms are very rundown. Beds are not fastened to the wall, or have curtains or protection for the top bunk from falling out. It’s very cheap and squeaky metal beds. Also walls are thin, no plugs at bed or light, windows poor, heater is a joke.
