Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

BelgiumSuper kind and friendly staff, we really felt that they want to make our stay great, really children-friendly place. We ate at the restaurant, food is tasty, they have lunch menu on work days. Klostermatte ski lifts are in comfortable walking distance, cross country ski track is literally a few meters from the hotel. Hotel has a ski room.

SwitzerlandThe traffic at the street in front of the hotel is a bit noisy during the day, with all the agricultural vehicles - but that's inevitable. Wasn't too bad. At night it's quiet.
My room was facing Hahnen, the views into the valley when the weather was fickle, and on the mountain when it wasn't, were both great. Staff was friendly and helpful, and room was spacious and bright and clean. Was nice to have a balcony, too. Great breakfast - simple, but all nice and fresh and tasty. Only 10 minutes walk from the town center, and perhaps 13 from train station (but there's also a bus option).

AustraliaVery stuffy in the room even with the window open. There is also a recycling plant behind the hotel so with the window open it was very hard to sleep in as they started sorting bottles quite early in the morning even on the weekend.
Really friendly staff, very happy to help and assist with transport etc. We arrived late and they squeezed us in for dinner so we could eat and the food was amazing! Bedroom was spacious and clean and the bed was really comfortable.

Saint LuciaThere was a strange smell like garbage coming from the facility located to the back of the hotel. But we kept the balcony door closed so it was not an issue.
It was a good experience. The staff were nice and pleasant and the breakfast was really good. Switzerland is very pricey compared to other destinations but this hotel is decent and affordable. It's easy to get around using the public bus which is FREE and the bus stop is located only a few feet away from the hotel.

GermanyWe are traveling all day, and that is why we called the hotel to inform them that we would arrive very late. The receptionist told us that she would leave the keys to the 2 rooms at the reception. We arrived at approximately 10:40 pm but the hotel door was locked. There was not even the slightest possibility to enter and collect the keys from the reception. How does someone leave the room keys at the front desk but lock the front door? or does not give information on how to get to the reception? The problem was very big because I had my baby who was only 8 months old crying loudly because he was tired and needed to sleep in a bed and not in my arms. It took us more than an hour in unsuccessful attempts to find an open door, until a neighbor of the hotel helped us. I am really very disappointed in the person who answered the phone, because we called precisely to avoid problems, to alert the hotel of our arrival time, and to inform that we had a baby. The next day we complained at the hotel reception with a man, but not an apology was given to us, only the phrase, it was a regrettable mistake. What a lack of professionalism, from the receptionist who answered the phone and from the man who did not even apologize. Sincerely Familia Sticht
