The hotel in general is nice. But the "apartment with seaview" is a joke, because the sea is hardly visible. Also, you can't swim in the sea due to strong currents and dangerous waves hitting the rocky cliffs of the hotel. In general, definitely not worth the money they charge you!

Had I known that the superior rooms were on top of the restaurant, I would've never booked one. I could hear every conversation and smell every scent from the room, which was truly very small. It was so bad I had to spend a lot more money getting a different type of room, so that I could have a quiet, restful experience. This was upsetting because that wasn't in my budget, but the only alternative was to stay in a smelly and noisy tiny room. This place is not for the budget conscious. Everything was outrageously expensive, especially within the Cape Verde context. I paid US$10 for half a tiny cup of soup (seriously it was like 4 spoonfuls) which was served room temperature, had to send it back to be heated. It was the only thing I ate at the hotel due to their truly outrageous prices. The pool area is tiny and was mostly crowded.

Gorgeous setting, walking distance (about 20 min) from the beach. I was thankful for the mosquito nets because the balcony doors do not have protective mesh. Very helpful manager, Kevin.

The room is rather basic considering the price, but the bed was okay for a few nights. The bathroom is very dark and there is quite a lot of noise from the kitchen/outside area. We also felt like there was very little privacy since the guests in the pool area could look straight into the room. The surrounding area outside the hotel is less developed than we had imagined, we struggled to find a restaurant outside of the hotel that was open and serving for lunch, so we opted to eat at the hotel restaurant instead. The prices are quite high, (More expensive than higher-end restaurants in Europe) but considering that they may import some of the ingredients perhaps it was justified? The pool area could be improved with a few small enhancements - supplying towels, replacing the stones and sand which get very hot in the sun and are painful to walk on, and poolside service could be more attentive - we would have ordered more.

We enjoyed our stay - the staff are very friendly and helpful, the food at the restaurant is good - the breakfast was incredible, we agreed that it was the best we had come across in Cape Verde. We loved the fresh fruits, tea and local pastries. The sea wraps around the hotel, it has a beautiful clear blue hue - which makes for a really gorgeous view. There is also a beautiful small beach nearby. The atmosphere is very laidback and slow, which was very necessary since we had been traveling back and forth between the different islands. Overall we enjoyed the stay but with small enhancements, they could improve the quality of their offering.

Note that the main beach in tarrafal is around 20 min walk from the hotel, although the hotel has its own diving spot where you can swim in the sea

The hotel has an amazing location by the coast - you can even hear the waves as you sleep from the seaside rooms. The staff was very friendly, and the hotel restaurant has the best food in Tarrafal. Wi-Fi worked well

The prices at the restaurant are way too high in comparison to the other restaurants in the village.

Beautiful oasis on the ocean front with very attentive and helpful staff. Eco friendly resort that grows its own veggies. Outstanding garden and access to an endless pool and to the ocean. Breakfast is incredibly delicious and served at the ocean front.

The sea view swimming pool was very clean and nice to swim in. The Building is very modern and clean. The Garden is very beautiful. However, the biggest asset of the hotel is the extremly friendly staff. The Breakfast is Served on the ocean front Restaurant and is delicious. You can snorkel, scuba dive and fish Right in Front of the Hotel. The best white Sand and coconut tree Beach on the whole Island is in walking distance. The People in the nearby village are very friendly. It is a very Safe Place.

Everything was perfect! Literally the only complaint our group had was that the soaps/ shampoos used are organic but they dont smell too good.

The rooms were very comfortable , it had everything we needed . The beds were super comfortable and the rooms were very clean. The location is amazing, we had an amazing view. The facilities were very good. We loved the pool ! Our room had a hammock that we enjoyed a lot. The hotel staff is super helpful and kind. The hotel also offers hikes and bike tours which is a lovely bonus. And if you are into diving the hotel is right next to a great diving center.

The wifi worked but only outside on the terras/balcony of my room. In the reception, breakfast and swimming-pool areas it all worked very well.

The place of the hotel is perfect around the bay. Great for a morning swim. Breakfast was really fresh en delicious. The view from my room was to die for with a terras on the bay. And the coffeemaker in the room was perfect to start the day of with a good espresso! Friendly staff and good maintained grounds.

There was nothing in didn't like that was the fault of the facility. I booked a 2 bedroom apartment and it had waaaay too much room in it. The manager was gracious enough to move us to one of the modern rooms which are spectacular, but the air conditioning unit wasn't working. We were bummed that we had to leave that awesome room and stay in the oversized room, but it was still a great experience.

The staff did everything in their power to make our stay enjoyable. The ambiance is so cool, breathtaking and unique - it looks even better in person. The restaurant is top tier and the amenities are a great touch. It is pretty far from Praia (about an hour and 20 minute drive), so plan accordingly. The Tarrafel area is very nice. I look forward to staying here again in the future. This place stays booked, so I advise booking far in advance.

really perfect - very relaxing atmosphere, good view, delicious food, good cocktails, very friendly personell Tarrafal is something special - gorgous place and still not overrun by thousands of tourists. Many possibilities close by
