Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SlovakiaIf there's noise then the sound isolation is all the way there.
Very high value for the location, friendly staff, always available, didn't have any problems personally. Very interesting space too, but as interesting as the space is, it's underground and on the tighter side, some people might struggle with that.

United StatesWhen we booked we expected to have a private bathroom. But all bathrooms are in the hallway, so pretty much accessable to any guests. But they were clean, so it worked out at the end.
Location was absolutely perfect, walking distance to the most sites in the center. A lot of restaurants in the area. 10 min walk to the main train station. Keep in mind that since the hostel is in the basement of the old building it is very quiet, but maybe problematic for claustrophobic person. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

Czech RepublicThe private room for two had a window facing the corridor, so there was too much light in the room at night, as the corridor light stayed on throughout the night.
The host was kind. The location is also great and in general, it's good value for the money.

United KingdomI have stayed in the most basic of hostels before and not had an issue with the standard as you get what you pay and basic is all you need when doing city break. We booked one of the private rooms which happened to be the first room on the corridor next to the dining/bar area. Firstly the walls are brick, the room had no windows and was not fully sealed so had the corridor light, which was constantly on through the night, beaming into the room. We were given two hand towels as bath towels. Not a great start but the worst was to come. The lady on the night shift had two young kids running about and screaming from 11pm into the early hours. When they finally went to sleep she, on both nights, decided to have a late night chats on the phone past 1/2am and loud is an understatement. Then if it couldn’t get any worse, she would clean and scrub the bathrooms at 3am which woke us up. We did not sleep for two nights so ended up leaving early and booking another hotel for the final two nights of our trip. Spoilt the experience. Avoid at all costs.

GermanyFirst, it's a factuality in a basement with no windows and proper ventilation. All bathrooms are shared and it's not cleaned regularly. 2nd, the whole basement is like a huge big room that is divided into the room area and bar/restaurant area. In the room area the rooms are divided with cheap wood boards that just protect you from views and physical disturbances. But you hear everything, even when someone's snores and opens his luggage. But that's not the worst: The family, yea a family lives basically there more or less, is very chaotic and unprepared. When we came the room wasn't even ready and they didn't checked how much days we stay. They probably thought we stay less than we booked and wanted us to make pay for a night we already paid. For each night, breakfast is actually included but they said it's just for the first night. But after they find out we actually paid for all nights they insisted that we pay for the breakfast additionally. So one of them went with us to receive the cash at the ATM because they didn't had a POC. I gave them the money without realizing i paid 50% fee for the ATM withdrawal she proposed. Basically we paid for a breakfast double and feed for that too. They scammed us.
The location is very central, but that's it.

United KingdomNot for the claustrophopic. Have to ask someone to open the main building door everytime you have to come in. Difficult to find from street level as no signs. Ventilation, airflow and lighting could be improved. Emergency exit plan? You get what you pay for.
Close to the city centre.
