We got to the room to find that the TV didn't work or the phone. The room description clearly states that the deluxe room includes bathrobes, slippers and a bowl of fruit which were absent. After a discussion we were given another room. The mini bar was empty, that wasn't a problem. The TV worked but the phone didn't and still the bathrobes, slippers and fruit were missing. I again went to reception and challenged the staff, they insisted these items were not included even when I produced the description on my phone. They then said they had made a mistake and we would have to move rooms again, I of course absolutely refused. The breakfast was poor to say the least. Breakfast was a buffet and ran from 7am until 10.30. We went for breakfast at 9am and on all 3 mornings the food was depleted. There was a sign saying omelette but every day the container was empty. I asked politely for an omelette and was told FINISHED. All in all the hotel could be very good but the staff are rude, unhelpful and very lacking, except for the young man who originally checked us in, he did his best but was met with obstacles from more senior staff.

There were a few minor annoyances that reduced the score. For example: # the shower facilities were over the bath which meant a climb into and out of the bath - not the best arrangement for 65+ age group # the bath plug didn't work so I couldn't have a bath, which I found particularly irksome as I suffer from arthritis and a warm bath really helps, especially when walking lots # the shower was positioned under a sloping roof which meant you couldn't stand to have a shower! # there were no handrails or a non-slip bath mat provided which meant getting and out of the bath was problematic & risky at times # bottled water, just one tea-bag and UHT milk/cream provided (there were also coffee sachets) .... but nothing replenished at all over 3 days! # and if I really wanted to be pernickety =the room would be helped by an option of softer lighting near the bed.

The staff were pleasant and helpful and the hotel was located in a quiet area. The breakfast choices were varied and plentiful. The bed was comfortable.

The booking in exercise, which involved more expense before key card handed over, still awaiting deposit return. Nothing luxurious about room, though hadn't asked for. TV not working throughout trip contrary to hotel saying issue resolved. The hot breakfast wasn't. Toiletries not replaced by cleaners. Not worth the price paid.

The room for 3 people was small. The info on the site didn't indicate that the initial room has no elevator access.

The room was clean and had all needed, stuff was helpful, I had issue with the room that supposed to be on the top floor that doesn't have elevator and ladies on reception changed it to anothe room as our family member could not use stairs. Breakfast was awesome! Beds were great.

The hotel left me with the most pleasant impressions! Excellent location. The rooms are very comfortable, with a modern design and all the necessary amenities. The staff is polite, friendly and always ready to help with any questions. Breakfast is delicious, which allows you to start the day in a great mood. I definitely recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay in Prague!

Good bread/croissant would have been nice in the morning (I am French, so picky on that point). Otherwise all perfect.

I booked a twin room as a double room was not available but the Hotel changed it for free. Great advice from the receptionist, very helpfull on where to go and option to visit the city. Bed very confortable, not too soft, very good smooth AC easy to adjust. Super clean. Bar fully furnished in the room in case of need. Overall, recommended. Hotel a bit outside the old town, allowed us to be in less touristic place - with restaurant, bar for locals...

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Ametyst in Prague. It’s perfectly situated in a peaceful neighborhood, yet still close to the city center. The room was clean, beautifully decorated, and cozy. I always stay there, sometimes I get rooms in very good condition and other times not, sometimes the bathrooms have a very bad smell due to mold and humidity. When you stay more than a day or two, breakfast becomes boring, there is not much variety, it is always the same menu.

The location it’s good , it’s close to everywhere , the staff is friendly and attentive always. It’s good option for short periods.

The bar was not open at any point, despite being told it would be. No rooms were ready and I had been told that one room could be ready early and again there was no bar or facility to use whilst we waited. There quilt was not large enough for the bed. There was only one flat pillow each. There were no milk pots to make tea or coffee. The maids did not clean the room when they came in. The advert says there was a spa and massage but that did not exist.

Rooms were nice and beds very good. Breakfast was ok. Hotel was quiet and no noise from outside.

- As start in my first night i planned to go to opera hence i called reception to iron my shirt and suits the answer was we don't have the services and if you want you can go to basement and do it by your self ,so u went to basement and iron my clothes by my self and it is worth to tell u that i am in 6th floor and lift is only up to 5th floor and then you have to take the satirs ..... - Staff in reception is not friendly at all and they barely speak English - Never book with breakfast, buffet very limited , food not tasty, and if you have kids don't book room in 6th floor because lift is only up to 5th Floor. - Room with balcony don't deserve to pay for it the view is not that great so don't recommend to go room with balcony. - They don't clean your room unless you ask and when they come that don't change cover bed or even towel if it is dry , the hotel is managed by Chinese and you can imagine the rest ... - I forget my jacket (Armani) in restaurant I asked reception answer was i don't know and he was counting money .. it went bad and I said I am sure it is here go look for it but he keep igniring till we start fight and then I said he went inisde and bring it to me...

The only thing good is the location is the heart of old down town

Cleaning/housekeeping wasn't done well. The floors were dusty for a few days before they were cleaned. Glasses weren't cleaned every day. I was barely given any toilet paper, even if I had run out they didn't necessarily give me any new rolls. The walls were paper thin, you could hear your neighbours well.

They didn't give me the room I paid for!! The bed had too much hair, they don’t change the sheets , the bathroom had a lot of moisture and dirt on the walls and shower, between the tiles. I guess The cleaning staff does not do the job well, I am a frequent customer of that hotel due to work issues, it seems to me that they have lowered the quality of cleaning. The most important thing is that the heating does not work well in winter time.

Behaviour of the staff was terrible. Booked parking place few weeks in advance was not prepared and staff was hoping that we manage somehow. Manners of the staff during breakfast was the worst we ever experienced. In general staff was insolent.

The cleaning and service of the morning staff was lackluster and the reception was not always manned. When a sink broke halfway during the trip and we had no running water it was never fixed even though 2 requests were made at reception.

When we checked in, the room had dusty corners and was very stuffy. They turned on the cooling, the air conditioner was noisy, but there was no cold air supply, it was more than 30 degrees outside, and the hot breath of Prague slightly wafted from the air conditioner. It was very stuffy. The pressure of the shower is good, but then we found that the hair dryer was not working, they promised to change it, but this was not done. There were no towels either, had to ask. Hot air was blowing well from the cabinet with the refrigerator, but the refrigerator itself did not cool the heated water. Moved out a day earlier from this hell. Uncomfortable room for rest after walks and spending the night.
