Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

RussiaFar enough from Andel station if you walk, better by streetcar. The windows overlooked the road and the gas station, it was a bit noisy. I was given the wrong change and almost 200 kroner in change when I paid in euros (cards are not accepted). The kitchen is small, one chair (it went somewhere later). After I left the hostel at 10 o'clock, as my stay was over, I just left, I did not go to the reception to say that I want to make a checkout (no keys or cards for the door I was not given), then at 12 o'clock I received a message from the bookings that my arrival was marked as unvisited. I immediately thought that I could be charged again, but with 20 euros from my card. This made me nervous and left an unpleasant impression (I contacted support and blocked internet transactions at the bank just in case). I understand that the order inside the rooms does not depend on the hostel, but on the tenants, but inside was a complete mess. A lot of things were dumped on the floor, on the suitcase, on the chair, on the table. There was a closet next to it, with jackets hanging in it. It is possible that the room needs to be equipped with lockers. Finding a hostel from a picture of a washing machine is not easy. I can at least see what kind of building it is on google maps in photo walk mode.
Nearby there is a store and a streetcar stop. They give you a roll of toilet paper. It's warm inside. There is a kettle and tea bags, fridge, microwave, which is very cool. Wooden beds that didn't creak when lying in them, soft mattresses, I got a good night's sleep

Czech RepublicThe place was absolutely disgusting. There were families living there, including one group of Romani people. One of the women from this group attacked a guest from Poland because he used the bathroom when she needed to go. They screamed all day and night, shouting insults at each other and even threatening their children, saying they would kill them. The toilet was leaking, and at one point during the night, it collapsed, causing water to flood everywhere. The facilities smelled like dog feces, and one guest even fell through the top bunk bed in the middle of the night. There was no toilet paper, and the lockers didn’t have keys—in fact, the entire place had no locks, and the doors were always open. While the main door appeared to be closed, I saw a small boy push it open easily without any effort. Many of the people staying there were sick, and I hadn’t been ill in 5 or 6 years, but now I’m feeling terrible! I submitted a complaint to the booking platform and demanded that this place be banned from the site immediately.

SerbiaThe dirtiest place i have ever seen. In the middle of the night bunch of people were entering the room trying to highjack any empty bed, which day did eventually . Couldn’t wait morning to run from here. All the time something dead smells from the back of the fridge, guess mouse or rat. Never again

United KingdomWARNING! Stay here at your own risk. Filthy and inadequate facilities and extremely rude staff who don’t speak English. I had to communicate with them using google translate. My breakfast was stolen from the fridge. There was a woman pushing a pram with a screaming baby outside my room. Insects in the toilet. What a filthy disgusting place. After I checked out they made a claim to booking.com that I hadn’t checked in or paid. Absolutely WORST place I ever stayed which is saying something! I seen better $1 dorms in Cambodia. At least the staff were friendly there.
Very little.

FranceDodgy place in terms of the people staying there. My friend and I were scared during the entire stay. First of all, the hostel receptionist doesn't speak English. Someone else had to help us translating and then we used Google Translate. That same person warned us that there had been thefts going and that we should be careful... However, at check-in, the receptionist wasn't able to give us any keys for the lockers in our shared room. So let me tell you that that first night we slept super bad. We kept our precious belongings with us in the bed and watched over the rest of our stuff. At around 4am, a guy suddenly emerged from outside in our room, which we were sharing with three other people that didn't speak English either and seemed to be living there (loads of food and half-finished meals lying on the window sill and at least one of them was statying in there all day long) and had very bad hygiene (bad smell, coughing etc). That guy illuminated the room with his phone, clearly looking for someone. He went to a lady and then they both left the room after he had illuminated my face and spoken to me in another language. My friend and I were super scared and barely slept. First thing on the following morning we went to claim keys for lockers in our room. The receptionist was finally able to give us two keys. Turned out one didn't work and the other one was paired with a locker that was broken... We tried that key with another empty locker and it worked, so we used that one, still keeping in mind that if that key worked for several lockers, the other occupiers might well be able to open our lockers with their keys as well.... So we still didn't dare leave anything precious in there and had to walk around all day with our backpacks. We were also stolen a roll of toilet paper that we had left on one of our beds. The floor in the hallway is super dirty. The whole place is in a bad state and so is the bathroom (which has no bin).
Nothing!
