The door lock keypad stopped working, but they gave a card which solved the issue. There's one bed in Dr. Seuss that doesn't have a locker, which can cause some stress in the room lol

Kitchen was extremely dirty. There was no dish soap and all the dishes were lying in the sink for days. No chance to use them.

I came in at 3:30am and had given them a heads up a awhile ago but no one came to open the door or picked up the phone. I was lucky that someone came in at that time so I went in with them but it’s not fun to wait outside for 20 min that late at night. honestly that was my only issue. lack of AC is to be expected here. I’d stay there again.

It was quite noisy on the street at night, and the bar was quite difficult to actually socialize in, and could be quite loud until late.

The staff were very friendly, and it was all very clean. The dorms were very big so it was quite easy to meet people... There was a nice area for free tea and coffee.

There was only one thing that I feel should be mentioned. The music in the bar from the afternoon was very loud and not the most welcoming, kind of like trance (maybe im getting old or/and fussy). The music couldn't be heard from the rooms.

Brix was very clean with great staff. The beds were very private, even when in a six bed dorm. All of the Beds had a curtain, light, fan usb & plug socket. Each bed also had its own storage drawer, large enough for a big bag (pad locks at reception).

Since it is a hostel AND bar, it is pretty noisy at night and is not recommended for light sleepers. The kitchen was terribly dirty without any dish detergent provided. The sponge there was just unusable as well. In the fridge, there was food for a couple of weeks which has not been disposed of. Absolutely no respect for the guests as far as the general hygiene in the kitchen is concerned. I would highly recommend working on it and improving the conditions there.

The hostel is centrally located with public transport connections nearby and approx. 30 min. walking distance to the old town of Prague. The staff is amiable and helpful and fulfilled all the requests I had., There is a common area on the ground floor with an extremely comfortable couch, and many other places to sit, work, and enjoy your free time. The Wi-fi connection is excellent, too, suitable for remote working. In addition, free tea, coffee, and cold water are provided. There is a kitchen on the second floor which can be used for cooking, i.e. pasta, rice, eggs. Rooms are generally clean, the beds - nothing to complain about, bathrooms are also fine with a constant flow of hot water.

In order to get to the dorm room you always have to go through another dorm. Personally, I didn't mind it but I can imagine that for the people staying in that middle dorm and having their dorm mates + people from 2 other dorms go through their room at all hours of day and night may be a little annoying. I didn't find any information on any social activities, but that may have been only my issue as well.

The female dorm I stayed in was great. The beds are placed in a humanly manner, facing away from each other, therefore giving a little privacy. The privacy curtain was also really appreciated. The downstairs bar was very cool, however there wasn't a lot of people.

There is no doors in the bathroom that means you have to change in front of other people if there other people in the bathroom It's a little bit far from the center of the city

Some of the bathroom facilities had missing or broken things, but totally usable and generally quite clean for how frequent they would be used. The guests for two other adjacent rooms unfortunately have to enter and walk through our room. I wouldn't describe it as a party hostel, (I'm not even sure what that means tbh), but there was a large group of football lads that liked to party late into the night when I was there, which did keep the noise level a little high late into the night sometimes. Three good sized windows for air at night, although still got a little humid in the room, as is common so far in my journey.

extremely stylish and modern inside, the common areas are very nice, it feels luxourious but very cozy at the same time. There is a big bar, lots of events going on from comedy to DJ sets, a great outdoor patio setup, and quite friendly staff.
