Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesVery hard to find, as it is not in good synch with Google maps and has no signage visible from the road.
Unique experience to stay in a Renaissance chateau with lovely gardens and excellent dinner and breakfast.

United StatesFelt like the rooms with the splatters of black paint are a bit weird. But other than that small gripe it was amazing.
It felt like we were the only ones there. It truly felt like a magical experience. Will definitely be returning.

IsraelBeautiful building surrounded by gardens of flowers and vegetables. Walking around the gardens is one of the highlights of staying here. Staff is welcoming and friendly. Serving free drinks for guests on arrival . Room is decorated with gothic style. Free parking. Very good breakfast with fresh tomatoes ( red , yellow and black) and cucumbers picked up from the garden. Do mot miss the fabulous dinner made by the chef. Very good place to stay.

United StatesThe only draw back was the wifi. I seriously loved being here more than being in Prague.
The entire property was absolutely stunning and serene. AND THERE WAS A LIBRARY! A real treat for readers and art lovers. Alberto and his team greeted each visitor with refreshments and saw that everyone was taken care of. Strolling around the gardens was like walking in paradise. Have the dinner while you are there- it is beautifully presented, elegant, and tasty! What a beautiful place to live in!

GermanyThe hotel seemed a little understaffed as we stayed in the off-season. There were a few tiny hiccups compared to the usual perfect stay we are accustomed to, but these were taken into consideration by the staff and promptly fixed.
This was my fifth time staying here and it is truly one of my favorite hotels in the world. Always a wonderful experience and we really enjoyed the gold room.

United KingdomWhen we walked through the gates and saw the gardens and the chateau, it was like a fairytale. The beautiful moat and the magical facade was breathtaking. We were met by Jamal, who was friendly, professional and approachable. He took us to our exquisite black-and-white room and served us coffees, which was a nice touch. We then ventured out to the gardens, which were truly beautiful and looked at the art and outbuildings and sat by the pond by the willow tree. Dinner was a delicious four course meal, which was fresh and served beautifully and the ambience was perfect. We also enjoyed breakfast in the morning, which was a wonderful buffet. It was a truly exceptional experience and one that we already recommended to lots of friends and family and we will certainly stay again. Amazing value for a high end stay.

We liked everything from the design and layout of the building with its tasteful and careful renovation and the individual style of each room. The owner, Alberto was very courteous and friendly. It was more like staying in his home than a hotel.

LatviaWhat we didn't like? The only thing that comes in mind - just some of the few ridiculously negative reviews from other guests. Yes, there is no TV. You will have to talk to your spouse instead. Yes, there is "nothing to do" if you are looking for attractions. The palace is a bit further away from the city and that is the essence of its charming nature. I would suggest going there by car if possible. Don't blame the owners for GPS not working properly, we also got a bit lost for a moment and it was a funny experience, but everything went well. Look carefully what room you chose, because each room is an art work itself and with that comes a different experience that the room can provide. We loved the bathtub in our b/w room, felt intimate and romantic.
We liked everything. The palace itself and it's interior that combines antique and modern styles that all together shows love for the past but doesn't dwell on it or ignore the present time. It was very peaceful and quiet, ideal for relaxing (perfect for couples), just being in a present moment, walking through the beautiful gardens and admiring various flowers, fruit trees and sculptures. Breakfast was excellent, maybe ideally more vegan options would be great, but nevertheless, we appreciated those precious mornings. Especially the lovely warmhearted chef who always checked if everything is alright. All together staff was friendly and helpful. I can't imagine any reasonable problem that they wouldn't try to solve for the guests if kindly asked to. There is something very personal and even magical about this place. The experience is more like visiting a welcoming relative not like ordering a faceless hotel room. We would definitely love to visit next year for a longer period of time. To just be there, doing nothing, maybe to write a book.
