It is not about the property, it is the location. Just a caution for elderly travelers or travelers with heavy luggage. The location of the hostel is on the top of the hill. If you are taking a taxi it will be fine, but if your using public transpo. It will be a little struggle.

Aside from the relatively helpful staff and the hostel's fairly good location, there is not much else positive to mention. My friend and I were extremely disappointed when we were shown our room. Since our room was located right next to the outdoor terrace, it constantly smelled of cannabis and cigarettes when we entered (and throughout our stay). During the daytime, when we were out and about, we intentionally kept our windows closed to prevent our beds and clothing from smelling even more like smoke. It was only after 10 PM that we could open our windows each day. Unfortunately, our room was not only disappointing and frustrating due to its location next to the outdoor area, right in front of our window (we had to keep the curtains closed all the time, as otherwise, everything in our room would have been visible), but also because the communal kitchen was right next to us. I could only get a few hours of sleep each night because many guests started cooking at 10 PM or returned from partying at 3 or 4 AM and wanted to prepare something to eat. Unfortunately, we could hear everything through the doors and windows. Another reason why we cannot recommend the hostel is undoubtedly the bathrooms and toilets. In the toilets, the lights did not work, which meant that it was pitch dark inside the stalls. I also strongly doubt that the bathrooms are cleaned regularly because the mirrors and sinks were extremely dirty every day. Additionally, there was mold on the walls of the women's shower on the ground floor. Due to the lack of hygiene and the constant disturbance, I did not feel comfortable during our stay. (Further points: In the room, we had lamps, but unfortunately, both of them didn't work. Our room door also didn't close properly without locking it with our key.)

Upon our arrival at the hostel, we were greeted quite warmly, and we also received assistance when we had inquiries or requests.

It was not such a big deal, but the walking uphill was a little tiring after long days of turisim walking. The building inside (outside of the rooms) is not so nice and has a very dark appearance, which made me think it was not such a nice hostel, but the impression was only outside of the rooms, that's why it is also not so important, but it could look nicer and give a better impression.

Very Clean, confortable space for a private room with two beds and bath. It is located in a nice neighborhood and the tram is not far away which conects to all the parts of the city. Only some distance uphill walking was needed. The rooms were well isolated and in good conditions.

!WARNING BED BUGS! We were supposed to stay at the hostel for 4 nights but then we found A LOT of bed bugs. They were all over the beds, walls and floors. We also saw them in the corridors outside of the room. We talked to the staff and they told us they did not have a room we could switch to. When we talked to the staff they did not seem surprised at all and we did not receive a great treatment by the receptionist. At last we got to speak to the manager who was not taking it serious at all, he even laughed at me when I told him about it. If you read the reviews it is obvious that this is a problem at the hostel and they do not take it seriously. They told us that they were cleaners there to fix the problem but from what we saw they were regular cleaners with no equipment for sanitation. Except from the bed bugs and the bad service the beds were so uncomfortable, no storage or a place to hang your things.

Don’t book here!!! The hostel had for the whole weekend no hot water. No one offered a solution for this problem and even Booking.com doesn’t compensate for this abysmal service.

Accomodations were much too simple and old. The "private bathroom" was not private as it was to be shared with others on the flat. Hot water was also not working on that bathroom, so we had to use another one further away

The bed we got was not really a bed, it was more like a sleeping mat with few centimeters of depth. Even after walking 19 kilometers and being exhausted I couldn’t properly sleep because of that and got back pain. The shared toilet was dirty and I tried to avoid using it which wasn’t nice. The drainage of the shower was clogged so I had to stop showering and make the water go away. This problem was solved the next day so a nice thing. However toilet seemed not cleaned up. I guess it doesn’t get cleaned daily. The room we were assigned at looked at a garden which is used for smoking. So the room got full with cigarette smoke when I opened the window and there is no AC. This is only a problem during the day because garden closes after 10 PM. I stayed in many hostels and don’t expect much more than a normal bed and toilet shower cleanness. I would tolerate smoke too but sadly this was overall a bad experience. I attach the thickness of the bed as picture.

I chose it for the private room option and cheapness.

The street was really noisy, we couldn’t sleep very much. The whole building smelled like a pub. The shared bathroom was one big pool of water, yet clean.

Bugs, dirty room.

I was beaten by bugs there. We needed to move from there because there are bugs in this hostel. Owner gave us money back but we did not have a place to stay in.

I liked the fact that they adapted to our arrival and check-out schedule. They listened to our needs and gave us alternatives to do the check-in and check-out without problems. We arrived a little bit earlier and they kept our luggage on a safe space while the rooms were getting ready so we could leave and do sightseeing without any worries.

Unfortunately, during our stay, I was bitten by bedbugs. That’s always a serious problem when travelling. Some of the other guests were also very noisy, talking and shouting until one o’clock in the morning. It was also quite hot in the room and there was only one fan.

Staff were friendly and it’s a good location with a tram stop nearby to go to the city centre.

Perfect location in the great area of Zizkov. Super cheap, super easy to check-in. The owners are very reliable and the staff is super helpful. I will sure be happy to repeat my stay in the near future! Thank you!

Internet didn’t work properly, especially upstairs but also everywhere in hostel and it was quite important for us as we needed to work from our laptops

The hostel is really nice and is kept in good condition! The staff was super helpful and nice as well :) We got a private room upstairs and it was very comfortable, clean and spacious and we had everything we needed. The location is pretty central too and you can easily get around by walking or taking the tram. Great value for the money!

The staff was very rude, the hostel doors only open at 7:30 am so if you reach there before that you are on the road. The room we got was on the 5th floor with no elevator and we were given just one table fan for a room with 5 beds during summer.
