Lovely old fashioned Hotel with great staff

There were no extra plugs for use of electrical apparels. The air conditioner was turned only on very hot: I had to leave the windows open in order to cool down the temperature. Now the worst part. We were traveling to Germany for 9 days and returning to the Esplanade. I left 1 luggage and I was charged EUR 2 per day. I never had this situation before. We were SUPPOSED to return to the same hotel, BUT…!!!

Filter was parking included, but the parking was in the nearby garage and was very expensive. Old school hotel, breakfast not to the standards of a five star hotel. Proper coffee and eggs upon payment...

Breakfast has very few options and also you have to pay for the coffee , Hotel not insulated well as we were getting noise of the side rooms..also noise while walking ,

Actually stay was seamless so nothing material to complain. What I can say is that the rooms are not perfectly soundproof so you can hear noices from the corridors, pigeons on window-sills and even some from other rooms. But it wasn't very annoying overall.

Very nice hotel close to Vaclav square and just short walk to the old town. Easy to get there by car and there are plenty of parking lots nearby (though booking in advance highly recommended). Friendly staff.

Missed not being able to make a coffee in our room as there wasn’t an electric jug/kettle.

Only spend one night here in transit to Budapest. Location was an easy 2-3 minute walk to the train station. Very comfortable bed and a great shower. Easy walk to many good restaurants and bars.

It was quite expensive for Prague and for the price, I feel like we could've gotten more.

Our room was larger, clean, and comfortable. Location is very good. Everything went smoothly.

Lack of a restaurant service in the evening was a slight disappointment but the hotel staff recommended some excellent alternatives nearby.

Location could scarcely be better - right in the city centre, close to metro, railway station, tram routes and principal sights.

I can’t think of anything if any significance that I didn’t like.

Nice room, much better than the rooms in so many hotels. A warm welcome on arrival. Great breakfast. Convenient location. The Esplanade felt an elegant hotel which didn’t shout about it, so I would be pleased to stay again.

Just one thing: the air conditioning unit was above one the beds. I just think the position of this unit could be better situated above the door. We needed the air-con on as it was hot in Prague whilst we were there. As an asthmatic sufferer this affected my breathing, unfortunately. But at least we had air-con, as it was much needed.

I didn't have the buffet breakfast but I had their equivalent of a full breakfast from the adjoining cafe. It suited my requirements. The Hotel location was superb. It was within walking distance of all the amenities & places you would want to see as a tourist.
