Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyI thought it was a little pricey (26e) for a bed in a dorm room. On the other hand, it was a women only dorm; the beds were nice and solid, there's a sink in the room and a kitchen down the hall. And it's very well connected by public transport to the airport and to the city center.
Nice atmosphere, solid beds, fantastic location. Towels provided!

JapanYoung people staying in another floor made a noise at night, disturbed my sleep.
Good location, five minutes walk to station, eight minute walk to a supermarket. Shared bathroom seemed to be cleaned up constantly. Hair dryer, share kitchen are also convenient for budget travelers. Staffs were very kind and supportive, when I asked another towel or extra blanket, they were willing to give me.

FinlandChecking in is a bit of a hassle. There should've been some pairs of slippers in the room.
The rooms are clean. The bathroom/toilet are also cleaned often so there's no smell or anything. The hostel is in a good location with many restaurants and convenience stores. Close to the center.

Netherlands- Not really sound proof. Our room is opposite the stair, so whenever someone use it, we will hear their steps clearly. - The common bathroom does not have a place for you to keep your things while bathing, which is pretty inconvenient. - No slippers in the room.
The location is really nice, it closes to public transport stations, restaurants, supermarkets, and only 25 minutes walk to Prague Castle (which worth the try). The room is ok, same as pictures. And staffs are super friendly and hospitable.

United KingdomThe hostel is situated just a short walk from the nearest metro station. There's a number of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby. The reception and common areas are lovely. Check in was straightforward. The room itself was very spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed in the corner. The shared bathroom and toilet were clean.

United Kingdom- although it was located in a nice area, it was far to walk to the centre (about 45 minutes) which is what we enjoy doing. There is a subway and tram nearby though)
- lovely hotel with lots of character - so many communal spaces, including outdoors - option to do laundry - communal spaces were clean - bedroom was a great size and clean. Nice to have a sink in the room too - the location felt safe and had lots of nice restaurants, cafes and supermarkets nearby (we recommend the Georgian cafe near - was amazing!) - good value for money - can store luggage before check in in a locked room

United KingdomA bedside lamp would be nice as the lighting is quite bright
The hostel is quirky and is in a quieter area. It felt safe. Easy instructions for check in and friendly staff. You can walk to the sights from here. The main square was about half an hour but you see a lot on the way. Good kitchen with utensils, hob, microwave and seating. There is a Tesco about 10 minutes walk away plus other local food stores. Good value. The shared bathroom was clean. Would return

SerbiaThe only thing that could really be improved is that the dishes are not clean enough, and the cupboards where the dishes are stored. They could be cleaned and checked from time to time. the pans and casseroles are old and could really be replaced, it doesn't cost that much and would be appreciated.

FranceWe weren't told that we needed a code to get in when the reception is closed, and didn't notice the signs. If that happens, there's a number on the entrance door for emergencies so all is well. Also the beds are not very comfy, but we didn't care.
The hostel is in the perfect place. It's a very calm neighborhood so we could keep soundly, there were a bunch of restaurants and grocery stores nearby, and the city center could be very easily reached with public transport. The staff is really nice, they gave us advice for parking our car, allowing us to save almost 14 euros! The room had the basic, same with the rest of the facilities. Nothing fancy, just what you need (everything perfectly clean), so it was perfect for us.
