Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Netherlands- They only have 2 showers+toilet & 1 toilet for idk how many beds (i assume more than 20?). If you're impatient to queue for the bathrooms please just book a private room hotel. i happened to encounter one annoying, impatient guest during my stay - No stove for the kitchen, appliances are also limited. I didn't have problems with this but maybe for other's considerations - You'll climb stairs so consider your big luggages - €5 for towels & no toiletries. But some people (or maybe previous tenants) left theirs in the bathrooms that i guess other people can use - I really don't want to disturb other guests but everything creaks here. Bed frame & lockers are made out of metal, even stepping the bed's stairs / swinging the locker's door will make loud noises. Everything that happens in the toilet are also for everyone to hear (a bit)
- Check in is until 22.00 but they're willing to wait until 00.00 max if you ask. The receptionist was nice & helpful - Female only dorms are a plus point! There's no mixed dorms at all in this property - Beds have curtain & lots of private sockets! - Overall cleanliness was okay - Lockers & the key are provided - Within walkable distance from the main station, eventhough it's not the central old town area, the neighborhoods are quite close to several parks & famous cafes

IndonesiaThere’s no elevator, and my room was on the 3rd or 4th floor, so I had to leave my large luggage at the reception. The bathroom was not very clean at times because some guests didn’t keep it tidy or forgot to flush the toilet. Check-in starts at 2 PM, and check-out is at 10 AM, but the reception is only open from 10 AM to 10 PM. Outside these hours, the reception is closed, and the door is locked, which may be inconvenient for late or early arrivals. Luggage storage is not free between 2 PM and 10 PM (extra cost to consider).
The bed and sheets were clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location is convenient, about a 7–10 minute walk to the Prague Florenc bus terminal. Great value for the price, especially for budget travelers.

GermanyPhotos do not necessary correspond to the room that you get. They have 4 hostels (doremi, jasmin, forum and one more) located in one place, and if you book a place in one they may assign you in another place. I don't know why they do it, but it's a little confusing. I booked a room in Doremi which has beds with curtains, but received a room in Forum, bed without curtains. For me it doesn't matter much, as I was there for one night only, but for some people it may be important.

SpainThe bunk beds structures and lockers made A LOT of noise, as well as the wooden floor and the doors. It was super weird to go through a room to get to your room as you had to bother people from that room and you would make noise twice by opening doors twice
The location is very convenient if you need to go to Florenc station. In general, it was clean. The mattress was good and you have curtains. There is a kettle, a microwave, and a fridge. It is an only girls/women hostel.

HungaryThere are only 2 showers for more than 10 people, it gets very crowded and complicated. They run under the name of different hostels, so it's very confusing when you arrive and want to do check in. The building is next to the train tracks, so you could hear them all day and night, especially from the kitchen. The bedsheets were clean, but the bed curtain wasn't, so at some point everything was quite dusty.
The place was easy to reach by public transport. It's considerably quiet at night, although it doesn't have dark curtains and the sunlight came into the room around 5 am (I was there during summer time).

ChinaThe lack of a stand for the shower head was inconvenient, and you had to hold the shower head up with your hands to rinse it off while showering.
The location is not bad, the room is in an old residential building with a kitchen with a large fridge and kettle to use. The number of bathrooms is a bit low and there is a queue at peak times. The water heater had a constant supply of plenty of hot water.

United StatesThere is no system for identifying food in the kitchen, so items are left there that should be thrown away. No tea or coffee, no individual lights for dorm beds, no hooks for hanging wet towels, no decorative touch. The bathroom floor gets flooded and there's no mop, so I had to wade through water to use the toilet. It would be nice to have hand towels and dish towels.
The hostel is basic but in a good location, 3 stops on the metro line B (yellow) to the city centre, at about 10 minutes away. With a little attention to detail, it could be a nicer stay. The reception was friendly, even if there is no information on hand about the city.

IrelandThere was only one main light in the bedroom. I would recommend installing some bedside lamps so that the main light may be switched off, but people are not left in complete darkness.
Comfortable beds, clean facilities, and a nice sitting room available for people to relax. The kitchen had all the main amenities. The room came with lockers and keys

Czech RepublicThe building and doors are very old-looking, and they make noise when you open them. It was VERY humid in my room, and when I opened a window, some other girl closed it. The hostel has a small living room, but no one used it, since people only came here to sleep (no one talked to each other). Just something to consider if you're looking to make friends
Good location, 10 minutes from metro. The hostel was basically a big apartment with 3 rooms full of beds, there were 2 bathrooms with toilets + one toilet separately. The beds were quite soft and clean and I appreciate the curtains for privacy. You also get access to a locker, however a large suitcase wouldn't fit there. Ideal for 1-3 nights.
