The light was not quite enough for me. I wish the lighting could have been a bit brighter, or at least a desk lamp on the desk would be much easier for me to read and write.

it’s at the town square center. The room is very clean and comfortable. The host takes good care of their priority and guests. The communication was easy and prompt. At the last day, they let me store my luggage before my bus arrived. The price was lower than it was originally stated. The breakfast was fresh and well-prepared.

The only problem was the lack of shampoo or other kind of soap in the shower.

Amazing location right on the UNESCO world heritage square. The host was super nice and helpful. The room themselves are newly renovated and very clean. The host made us a great breakfast.

Michael the owner was gracious and kind. The rooms are much better than shown in the online photos. Spacious, comfortable, impeccably clean. Flat screen tv in room. Property is right on the historic square so the location could not be better. Free Parking within 100 yards. Excellent breakfast provided at the time you indicated upon arrival. Highly recommend.

It was great as it was.

A great place, located in the main square of the city, so everything you want to visit is within a walking distance. Plus a magnificent view - you, basically, see the whole Old Town from the window. Yummy breakfast and a very friendly owner. Kotrba privat, since it`s located in the historical part of Telc, doesn`t offer any parking space, but there is a big free parking 2 minutes from the hotel. And, next to the hotel, you`ll find a nice restaurant and a cafeteria, both offering something delicious at moderate prices.

The bed could be more comfortable .

1. The building is around the corner of the entrance to the historical square (if you come from the train/bus station), so save you some efforts in dragging your luggage along the cobbled street. 2. The room is basic, but very clean. 3. Guests could use the well-equipped kitchen. 4. The host lives upstairs and very friendly.

Sofa bed for the third person in our room was declared not the greatest. Only one set of keys.

Located right on the square in Telc. We had views on two sides which was fantastic. The host was welcoming and let us drop bags early. Breakfast is laid out at the time you request with a mixture of bread and cold items, yoghurt and a piece of cake. It was lovely. He was kind enough to do a really early breakfast when we needed to go and catch a train

Everything was quite good.

Large spacious room with plenty of storage. Wonderful location right on the Square with a great view. Comfortable loveseat plus a small table and chairs. Fridge. Nice bathroom with a wonderful shower. Immaculately clean. The host was very friendly and accommodating. We had to leave early our last morning to catch a train and he served us breakfast early. Excellent breakfast with fresh cheeses and meats, bread and rolls, yogurt, a tasty pastry, and yogurt each morning. It was an excellent value. We would definitely stay here again.

The dim lighting in the room.

We recently stayed here for one night during our trip to the Czech republic. The location is fantastic, right next to the historical Telc square with its lovely colorful baroque houses. The first floor has 3 rooms whereas the owner occupies the second floor. Our room was quite large and spacious & had a great view of the square. In addition to a bed it had a sofa plus a wooden desk & chair. The sheets, pillows and duvets were fresh & clean. The bathroom was big and the shower was great. The only negative was the lighting in the room (& bathroom) which was inadequate and strained our eyes during reading. There is a separate area for breakfast with a kitchenette and the breakfast was good and filling. Most importantly, Michael the owner is a wonderful host, eversmiling and welcoming. He also lets you know the good restaurants & cafes located in the town square. If we visit Telc a second time, we are sure to stay at Michael’s Kotrba Private again.

Excellent location right on the main Square in Telc! Check-in was friendly and efficient. The room was super clean and comfortable. Despite the fact that the property is on the main square, it was very quiet. Good wifi connection. And to top it all off a delicious and hearty breakfast! We would definitely return.

The location on the square is both a good and a bad thing. There is a restaurant located below, so sometimes we'd get cigarette smoking wafting up through the open windows - but it wasn't a constant thing. Traffic noise does start early but it wasn't excessive and it's to be expected given the location!

Great location and great value! It's located right on the square. Rooms were large and very clean. Bathroom was sparkling clean with a large shower. Breakfast was tasty and there was enough food leftover, so we made sandwiches to take along with us. Owner was cheerful, and while he didn't speak much English, it wasn't hard to communicate. I'd highly recommend staying here!

Well, perhaps the fact that the bathroom floor is a bit higher than the bedroom floor. One tends to forget this in the middle of the night... But on the other hand this is understandable, because the modern bathroom needed to be adapted to the renaissance building conditions. In the past we had good experience with the pizzeria that happens to be located right below this pension (no relation between the two). But alas, the pizzas hardly have any pizza dough left and were hot well baked...

The location of the pension is a true marvel: central on the square with magic views from the windows on the line-up of Renaissance houses that have made this town so iconically famous & part of UNESCO world heritage. The room is spacious, a bit elevated above the street level, there is a well equipped bathroom, a good shower and excellent mattresses, a well functioning Wifi, in short: this is a true dream place. The pension owner is very pleasant, the breakfast first-class, and hallelujah: we slept well. Even on Friday night the place gets enshrouded in absolute quiet. The room ventilation functioned well by opening one of the windows a bit. The total price (included breakfast) seems well-balanced to us. From this pension one can make amazing walks along the fish lakes and of course in town. The castle gardens were presently closed because of restoration works.

The price is the same whether it is 1 or 2 people which is fine but I requested a large bed and got one but strangely only got bedding for 1 small one. Should make it clearer in site information that they only take cash.

We had a very simple room, were offered a very simple cold breakfast and we had to leave our car at a public car park, having paid for a parking ticket, about 12 to 15 min walking distance away

The location was quite good as it was on the main square in Telc, which is full of historical houses, now well restored, and one could see 2 churches (both closed...!!!) and the castle (opened, in May, after 10:00 am).
