Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SloveniaFree parking is 1.6 km away. Not so far, but i like to have my car parked near hotel. Floor in the room is a little bit noisy.
My room for one person was very comfortable, big enough with large bed and nice bathroom. Hotel is on very quiet street, so no trams, buses or any heavy trafic and for this price, not so far from city center (20min by foot). Reception is open for 24 h and staff is very kind. Very good breakfast. When i will visit Praha again, i will try to be in this hotel.

Czech RepublicThe hotel is basic but standard, and the location is very nice. But do not expect anything special. The biggest problem is the staff. I can say this with some evidence as I use this hotel for ease of work nothing more, the staff are dreadful. Out of 12 visits I have had 1 good experience. There is an old gentleman who refuses to speak English even though the hotel managment say the staff do. He is so rude it is breath-taking and you end up feeling shocked. Once I had an emergency and needed to seek medical assistance in the middle of the night and the night staff was unfriendly and rude, and didn't want to call a taxi to the hospital. Finally he did and seemed to make a deal with the driver. A ride that would have cost 200 CZK cost 1200 CZK, very suspicious. And the last time I was there the young man on reception just laughed at me when I asked him a question, he seemed stoned. So if you want a cheap, basic stay and don't care about quality of care and service this is ideal. If you would like nice service and assistance in times of need, this would be a a bad choice.
Nice location. Vinohrady is a lovely area with plenty of places to eat and walk.

SwedenStaff unattentive. When we adressed the problem with TV that did not work there was no effort to fix or compensate.
Nice and quiet area. Comfortable beds in nice and very clean room. Good breakfast. Parkingspace in gated hotel 10 minutes walk was good but a bit inconvenient. Enjoyed the abundance of fresh lillys in the hallway.

United KingdomI book the hotel for a week, but due to work circumstance i arrived one day later and left a day earlier, hotel just take the money and didn't give me any opportunities for move the two other date for another time. Breakfast is quite basic, same for internet, not fast or not sufficient for the amount of people who stayed in the hotel. hotel definitely has some refugees, not a problem but not ideal for smart working condition (low speed internet, noise ecc.)
Room was compact, probably less than 10sqm, comfortable bed and nice view from the large window. Good ratio of natural light perfect for enjoy the smart working when needed. Staff speak more languages that Czech.

PolandAfter 2 nights i cant find any negatives for room and personel but parking is placed 10min walk from hotel and its not guarded.
The room was clean and cosy. Staff came to our room to make a little clean up while we were on tour. The bed was great i had a great sleep after long day in town. Little fridge and AC were nice things to have. Breakfast was good. When I am next time in Prague i will probably choose Machova again :) (location will not make a trouble for you)
