Location of this hotel is excellent with tram stop few metes away and not far from central Ostrava. Ostrava train station is also within walking distance. WiFi is good. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is ok. Rooms are very clean.

The room was a bit old-fashioned, the bathroom door was stuck and for some reasons they placed the fridge on top (!) of the desk, so before working, I was required to put away the fridge. There was a phone in the room, but with cut-off wires - why don't you put it away? Lighting wasn't very comfy too. Breakfast coffee wasn't tasty either.

Basically: Quick check-in, friendly staff, room is average but beds very comfy, so the room fulfilled my basic needs before going to business meetings the other day.

Breakfast was a very good hot and cold buffet served from 07:00 Mon-Fri and 08:00 at weekends. My room was comfortable, well furnished and adequate in terms of space.

The standard room is quite small and the shower in the bathroom leaked water outside. The bathroom door closes very hard and you can touch your hand painfully. I had to leave a day early, but I didn't get anything back, even though they had a free room since 11.30 (I announced the day before, I'd settle for half price, but they said no).

a well located hotel, close to the center (both on foot and by tram - two stops away). Friendly staff, quite rich breakfast, good wi-fi, free and protected parking, quiet (if you get the room in the back, otherwise you can hear the tram).

It sometimes felt like some people in Ostrava do not like people who do not speak Czech. We had some very uncomfortable run ins because of that. Its not just when you approach people for something but also getting approached and them finding out you just do not understand them. Some of the few people we interacted with got really mad. Just be mindful of that in Ostrava or maybe the Czech Republic in general. The area arround the hotel felt unsafe at times. However, those instances were rare. During the festival you tend to not be alone when exiting the tram. Like in any city you just need to be careful and pay attention to your surroundings.

The hotel was very nice in terms of the building, the room including the bathroom and the parking situation. Parking is at the back of the hotel, not visible from the street (a good thing) and takes away the stress of finding parking anywhere else. There are enough spots and enough space. The breakfast was delicious and had the ammount of options you would expect from a normal hotel breakfast. The staff was friendly. We really liked that there was always someone in the lobby, we felt really safe because of that. Eventhough it felt like not everybody spoke at least some English the communication with staff always worked out. The hotel is located near 2 tram and bus stops. Getting arround was very easy and comfortable. The walk from the stations to the hotel is short and safe, at least during the day and on busy days like the festival time. The hotel is definitely a good place to stay for Colours: good to reach by tram, safe, nice rooms and good breakfast. There is also a nice supermarket just arround the corner.

I would have liked to have a kettle and a small fridge available in the room. Next time I would also make sure to ask for a room on the side away from the main street. The traffic (trams) were quite noisy.

The room was good for a weekend stay, beds comfortable, bathroom new and super clean! Staff was friendly and helpful, free parking was a great bonus.
