Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

TaiwanThe room had no locker. The whole place was kind of stinky. Probably not their fault.
It was cheap and convenient. The reception was really nice. The bathroom was quite big and clean when I used it.

United KingdomThis is a quaint hostel and you get what you paid for - my bed was clean and comfortable for one night stay. Toilets and showers are clean and comfortable. Kitchen is clean although I didn't use it much.
The front desk is friendly and the manager of the hostel is easy going and helpful all around. People working in the hostel and pleasant and friendly. This is the small and yet quaint hostel I stayed only ONE night, was satisfied with facilities.

HungaryWe missed a lot some reading lights from the room. The floor is very creaky which is annoying when someone walks around the room and everybody wakes up because of the noise.
Convenient location, easy access by metro and tram, 15-25 minutes walking distance from the old town. Friendly staff. Quiet area.

BrazilBathrooms were ok clean, but I checked in late, so the cleaning must have been done hours before. Not a big deal for me. The check in process required me to write down all my information, while other hostels that I stayed only asked for my passport.
Good location, in person reception all night, with good beers. Very affordable for the city. Very comfortable beds.

RomaniaNo elevator, we were at the 4th floor. My mom's bed was dirty and when we notified them they said they can change the sheets for a cost!!!! And the last night we had an Ukrainian pickpocket in the room who kept us up and went stealing through either the hostel or outside and came boasting about it by showing off stolen clothes and he showed 3 different passports...
The only good thing, the staff at the reception and the bathroom

Czech RepublicAt 2am staff member arrived with guy without bed and woke up everybody with strong light. One guy was complaining about light, but staff member told him to shut up because he was making noise and woking up ppl. So i joined this heated conversaion and told to staff member to go away basically, so he gave new guy bed and left in a second, what he should do in the first place. Horrible experience idk, how this hostel training staff members, but this guy was unaware about everything.
Location was nice, close to city center.

BelgiumWe booked this place particularly because elevator was listed since we had very heavy luggage. But the elevator was out of service. Worse still, we were not offered help with our luggage until we specifically asked (we took one to the fourth floor with much difficulty, and we realized we really can't handle the remaining ones). The sheets smelled like cigarettes. The shower head kept falling from the wall. The hostel offers luggage drop-off, but it was full and not suervised. Luckily, they found a place for our luggages in another branch across the street.
Fair price.

FranceBathroom had both toilet and showers in. The detector for the light need to be moved somewhere else, it shuts the light off quickly and you really have to move to get it back again. So people just turn on another light 24/7. Also, the bathroom is never opened long enough for moisture and temperature to dissipate.
Clean room, good lightning, clean bathroom.

SpainThere is no air conditioner, blanket was very thick, so it's super hot to sleep. There was no curtains and sleeping next to the window is quite noisy because it has to be opened since it's very hot. Also, for some reason my blanket when I arrived was still a bit wet which was very uncomfortable the first night to sleep in.
Staff is friendly, helpful and always available. Bathrooms and showers are well maintened.

GermanyIt was reallllly loud at times during the day, it‘s probably because the rooms are not sound proof at all, but i could overhear whole conversations of the cleaning staff, it felt like they were standing right in my room
The hostel was in a great location, the house itself was really beautiful and i liked the vibe of the room (private)

Czech Republiccons: - the check-in took so long. there was a queue. i waited for 15-20 mins and needed to fill down some paper - you get nothing except one bed. if you want a locker or towel, you need to pay for it in cash. - the beds are of poor quality. they're so light, they move a lot, and it's a bit difficult to get to upper bad since the stairs are not so good.
i stayed for one night only. it was okay but i wouldn't really recommend. pros: + everything was clean + bathrooms were really nice + great location + the hostel has a bar that has cheap prices for Prague

FinlandThe room I stayed in was 1e. It's a room with 4 bunk beds for 8 people. The room is so small, there are no chairs or a table, no hooks for bags of clothes. I think it's against fire safety regulations to keep 8 people in such a small cage. The beds are short, shaky, some are difficult to climb up because of position of the ladder, the mattress is bad I got back pain every morning. The feet of other person were no more than 30cm away from my face. The floor is very squeaky. The storage boxes under the beds are half broken. The windows lead to a small street but bigger roads are in less than 30 meters so you will hear the noise of the traffic even at 4 am. Closing the windows causes lack of oxygen. I don't know who gives good reviews here, maybe other rooms are better. I've been to hostels around the world for the past 2 years and this is probably the worst I've seen. I also stayed in Sir Tobby (chain with Sophie), and despite the distance and very dated everything I realized it's better. I recommend buying 24 hours ticket for the public transportation and you won't have to worry about the distance from the hostel to anywhere.
Very friendly people at reception.

IrelandI was in a dorm with private bathroom however the bathroom latch was broken meaning one couldn't lock the bathroom. Complained soon after checkin around 3:30pm and they promised me to get it fixed in an hour. Had to complain again at 7pm since it wasn't fixed and asked to change room. The manager came back saying I should have complained earlier and instead of shifting me to a new room they gave me access card to another room to use the bathroom. However the access for the spare bathroom was revoked in the morning next day and the bathroom remained broken throughout my stay. Also the beds could benefit a little with privacy curtains which were missing.
Clean rooms and friendly staff.

Czech RepublicI was not told that I will not have a towel, so I used a shirt to dry after shower. A busy street is nearby, so when windows are opened, noise from the cars can be heard non-stop. If I consider that a few metro-stations away I could get a private hotel room with a free breakfast for just a little more money, I will not visit Sophie again.

GeorgiaThe only proper food in the kitchen is pre-made pizza, water has been absent both mornings that we're spent at the facility. Somebody from the floor was smoking pot in the adjacent room, so we could smell it perfectly. Also, you hear everything happening in the corridor. Thank God there were only three flats up there, so not often.
For a cheapest hostel in the area with day-to-day bookings — it's a great option. Separate room is very spacious and sunny, it's actually more like a hotel there.
