Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandI loved the room, but it does not have an AC It has a fan (which is however not next to the bed), but during a hot summer day, this isnt enough, I was really having a hard time sleeping I understand that having an AC in the old town is not easy, but it is very unpleasant. There must be a way to keep the room cooler during summer I would come back in spring, winter or autumn, but not in summer
The receptionist Ankit is a very nice guy The room looks stylish and has a historical touch Amazing view on the square in Mala Strana Has a fridge Nice bed The room is large

United KingdomThere was a slight musty smell in the room, the staff said we could move rooms but it wasn’t that bad, so we didn’t move.
Location was sensational, the room was really quirky and gave you a real feel of loving in Prague. Would definitely stay here again. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was nice (not massive options but adequate).

FranceAfter realising that they did some work in my room while I was absent (basically, ONLY putting a new window to install A/C), I went to the receptionist who showed no compassion, no interest and no profesionnalism in dealing with this issue. Also, despite loving the air perfume in the toilets, this is WAYYYYYYY too strong for the room. This has also been alerted to the receptionist... with the same kind of success...
Location is perfect!

Greece1) The elevator was dangerous and scary. Half the times we took it, it stopped abruptly between floors. Instead of fixing it, they advise you to not use it and take the stairs. I don't want to take the stairs to the 3rd floor, after walking all day. 2) Breakfast was ok somedays, but on other days, it was inadequate. Especially on Saturday 4th January, we woke up before 9:00 and there were no sweets, milk, waffles or cheese variety at all. We left the hotel at 10:30 and they were never replaced during that time. And even on the days that they did have variety, you had to be very quick and snatch whatever you like immediately, because if someone else took it, they wouldn't replace it. Moreover, you bring your own plates and cups from your room, fill them from the buffet and eat in your room. That means that you have to wash them afterwards! I didn't go on holidays to wash the dishes!!! 3) The lights in the room were inadequate. Half of them were not operating at all. During the night it was very hard to find your stuff. 4) Worst of all. During our last day, the cleaning person removed the waste bag from the bin next to the toilet and left it inside the room, right at the entrance! I understand that it was an accident and they didn't do it on purpose, but it was disgusting and unprofessional.
The room was spacious and picturesque, with a lovely view. Charle's Bridge was less than 5 minutes away. They have a 24-hour reception.

RussiaThe rooms are quite dark, some of the lights are even too dim which however creates an atmosphere of an old house. The apartment was VERY dusty which is in my view not acceptable for the price (see the pic). It felt like they are just changing the bed sheets and cleaning the table. All the other surfaces and the floor had not been vacuum cleaned in a while. As a person who is slightly allergic to the dust I had a stuffy nose when going to bed. It looks like the dishes are being cleaned after each guest in the rooms by hand with a small sponge, they did not feel hygienic. There is a tram station right under the window which is quite loud till the late evening/night. The bed is fine, however, the pillows are extremely uncomfortable. Be prepared for some things to fall apart when you touch them, such as door and window handles, window benches etc. The safe was broken in our room. The receptionist lady tried to fix it but did not manage. As a consequence, we had to carry all of our valuable belongings with us as no alternative was offered. We expected at least an apology for the inconvenience, maybe some apology drink or whatever but obviously noone cared. They also never asked us if we liked our stay and if everything (apart from the safe) was fine. I must say that even for the Christmas time 200 euros per night is quite overpriced for Prague and not worth the rooms/service they offer.
Cozy apartment in a historic neighborhood. You can easily reach most of the tourist sites by foot. Nice view. Breakfast was ok.

Italy-the room is not the cleanest, there is dust and visible stains on the carpet and curtains. There is a TV but no controller and the light on the stair cannot be turned out fully ( big problem because is right in front of the too small bed) -Staff is not the nicest and the lady at breakfast don’t speak English at all. -If you don’t use sugar but sweetener, be aware that they only have regular sugar at breakfast.
The location, near both to the old town and to the palace complex

Czech RepublicI recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, the experience was far below expectations. The walls were damaged in multiple places, giving the room an overall neglected and worn-out feel. Room equipment was equally disappointing—furniture was outdated and worn. To make matters worse, the lights in the room flickered constantly, creating a rather unsettling atmosphere. The bathroom was another major issue. There was a lot of mould in the shower, making it feel unhygienic and unpleasant to use. The towels provided were also a problem—they smelled bad, as if they hadn’t been properly cleaned or aired out. This added to the general discomfort of the stay. Another issue was the view from the window, which was supposed to overlook the square. However, this view was almost completely obscured by a thick railing, making it impossible to fully enjoy the surroundings. One of the most surprising aspects of the hotel was the lack of a dining room. Breakfast is served in the hallway, and guests are expected to bring plates from their room to collect it. Not at all what I expected from a hotel. Overall, the combination of poor room conditions, lack of basic hygiene, and inconvenient breakfast arrangements made for a disappointing stay. It felt far below the standard one would expect for the price. It simply didn’t offer the quality or comfort to justify the cost.
The location is very convenient. The staff is friendly. The check in and check out were without issues.

Czech RepublicBreakfast is served outside of the rooms so it can be heard in your room when it is being prepared. So you have to bring the food to eat at your room - which might bother some people, but you don't need to wash the dishes. Variety wasn't bad but otherwise I had much better breakfasts.
Location is wonderful, few steps from the main attractions of Prague. Room was nice but not very practical and some of the furniture weren't in good condition (missing handles, almost half of the lightning in the room wasn't working). Also the steps are very steep so one needs to be careful when walking down (esp. when going to bathroom at night).

United KingdomReally low wifi reception in the room and most importantly a velux window over our beds was missing curtains and forced us to wake up very early in the morning with the first sunlight. This issue (at least for us) was not resolved by the reception, who only hang a towel (that was a joke as a solution). They surely need to resolve this issue before too many people start complaining about room No 2!
The location was perfect and the room was very cosy and nice.

IrelandBreakfast is served outside the rooms, in the hall/corridor, and you grab whatever you want and get back to your room to eat. This can be a bit awkward as you open your door and there's people all over grabbing food and chatting. It would be nice if there was a proper place to have breakfast. Limited options for vegans.
Location is superb. Room was very spacious and clean. Very friendly staff.
