Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomBreakfast wasn't the best, fried bacon/ham and scrambled eggs were the "cooked hot" options available daily. Sadly on each day these were very, very dry and not enjoyable. So toast it was with the cold options of ham and cheese. Dinner again on one of the nights we stayed wasn't the best either, my wife ordered the Caesar Salad and it had 2 small bits of sliced chicken, I had the Charcuterie and Cheese board, which arrived with only the cheese, had to wait between 10/15 mins before I could get the waitresses attention to say that I hadn't got the meat. She eventually brought out 5 small slices of ham, needless to say wasn't the greatest and disappointed. Shower wasn't great either, the showerhead didn't fit in it's holder properly.
Rustic charm and environment of the hotel. It's location was perfect for our visit to Morella.

United KingdomWe had booked a parking space. It was very difficult to find, mainly due to our lack of Spanish!

United KingdomWe stayed over a weekend, and our first floor bedroom was both directly above the hotel bar and opposite a restaurant and bar on the other side of the street. Both are open until late, with the bar opposite having a license until 1.30 am. On one of the nights, and I'd stress just one night, the noise outside was very disruptive. It didn't bother us too much, living in central London, but if you are sensitive to noise late at night, it'd be worth asking for a room in the rear of the building.
The location is perfect for this family run hotel. It is old, a little tired here and there, but the friendly staff work really hard to keep it clean and in order. Everything worked as expected. The mattress was a comfortable memory foam type, and the linen was good. I've seen better towels, but they were quite decent and perfectly acceptable. The bathroom had a good supply of hot water. The buffet breakfast is well worth having. A good varied selection and very hygienically presented. We did have dinner in their restaurant one night, and that too was delicious and excellent value for money. The bar was very well stocked with a wide selection of beer, wine and spirits. We had a great time there, despite visiting during some bad weather, and it'd make a great base if one wanted to tour, or hike, the local area. Our motorcycle was kept safe in their garage, which is secure, and just a few minutes walk away.

The town is very nice. The hotel room quite small, quite old furniture. Clean. Breakfast very basic.

SpainIf you want a view of the mountains and surrounding area ask for a room at the back of the hotel, otherwise you will be looking over the bar and shops across the road.
We first visited the Hotel and Morella in 2018 when we led a group of +50 people on a walking holiday of the area. The hotel is just as good now as it was then but the bathrooms have all been upgraded and are now much better. We were on a full 'pension' and therefore had an excellent breakfast and dinner each day, with a superb choice of excellent quality locally sourced food. It was worth returning to the hotel, sometimes things change over time but the Rey Don Jaime has stayed just as good as the first time.
