We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndiaI was at first doubtful about my stay given the past reviews but the experience was not bad at all. The property is located close to metro station. Room size (single) was better than many Paris city hotels. Staff is welcoming and gentle. No need to worry about the street vendors. They're just normal refugees/immigrants making a living through selling cigarettes and they won't eat you up! 😊

BelgiumFor the price I payed, it was a really nice and clean room. It was within 1 minute to the metro station, so very handy. The incheck time was under a minute and no problems at all. I would recommend for people how travel on a budget.

United KingdomThere are no tea/coffee making facilities in room! No good, if like me you need caffeine in the morning to function. But, my biggest gripe is that I was charged €12.44 for City Tax upon arrival, which I had to pay before the key to my room was released. I didn’t realise until I got home that this was already included in my booking fee and had to apply for a refund. I was given a refund eventually, but I still shouldn’t have been charged in the first place.
Good location, only a few minutes walk from Gare du Nord and just one minute from La Chappelle Metro Station. Secure entry- buzz to enter. Clean and comfortable room. Multi lingual (French, Spanish and English speaking) man on reception was very friendly and printed out an excursion booking confirmation for me on request.

FranceWhen I came to this hotel for the first time, 3 or 4 years ago, I had to pay about 50 EUR. Last year, the tariff was about 60 EUR and this time, I had to pay more than 90 EUR. The staff told me that it was because of the renovation the hotel had undergone. I don't think that the renovations done justify this huge difference in tariff ... Another problem was that there is no lift. I had to go up to the second floor, on a staircase still in the ancient not very clean status. Fortunately, the staff carried my heavy suitcase up.
Before all, the friendlyness of the staff I encountered. The room was ok and the bedding rather good, with exception of the pillow. It was knobbly and not very comfy.

United StatesWhen I finally found the hotel I found myself on a backstreet, not a main road. very little traffic and it looked like it would be fairly dark at night. Looked more industrial. I went inside anyway because I had a non-changeable non-refundable reservation. It wasn't even 5:00pm and I could not get in as the door was locked and the person at the front desk had to buzz me in. I was given my room and proceeded to make my way upstairs. The hallway smelled sour and the smell followed into the room. Upon entering the room I was completely overwhelmed with the whiteness. No color beyond the neutral color of the curtains which were pulled closed over the window. The small twin sized bed looked to have nothing but a white sheet on it and made so tightly you probably could have bounced a quarter off of it. It did not look the slightest bit inviting. My imagination made me feel like this was the kind of room you would be given when checking into a mental hospital or rehab facility. I opened the curtain to hopefully have a better view that would help me calm down and was greeted by nothing but the roof of a one story building below me that was surrounded by plain multi story buildings around it, no wonder the curtains were pulled closed. After using the restroom and sitting on the bed trying to convince myself it was going to be ok. I would be spending more time out of the room seeing the sites, right?! I was unable to get past the anxiety that was building and ordered an uber to take me to a different property. I made my way back downstairs and dropped my key off at the desk telling the clerk that I felt unsafe and could not stay there. As I tried to make my way out of the property front door I was met with a locked door and had to wait for the desk clerk to buzz the door for me to GET OUT! What if there had been an emergency? A fire? The property was nothing like the pictures on the website. I would never recommend anyone stay here!
The only positive thing about this property was that it actually is within walking distance of the Eurostar train station. The property manager did allow me a refund of 2 of my 3 nights reserved. stating that I had used the bathroom and bed so he had to charge me for the first night. I was appreciative as I was prepared to lose all my money for that reservation, it was that bad!

PolandThe lift is just for either you or your bags, it is incredibly small, no normal person fit there. The entrance to the room was also quite small , the bed sheets were dirty, the bathroom was uncomfortable, the smell outside the rooms was bad. I honestly do not recommend this place. Or unless you're in an urgent need for accommodation and you're gonna stay maximum one night. More than that it would be a huge nightmare.
The only good thing about this place is the location nearby Gare du Nord. Everything else is terrible.

NetherlandsPerfect! The hotel has the best service and they will help you if you have questions. I had a question and I was immediately helped by 1 employee and both owners! The rooms are cleaned every day! There is a nice and atmospheric atmosphere in the room. The location is 15 minutes from the center, so ideal. And 2 minutes from the station. You don't notice anything from the neighborhood busier neighborhood around.

GermanyThere were no dining facilities in this hotel! If you get hungry and have nothing to eat you have to walk outside almost for 500 meter to find a restaurant!! It was too cold at nights the bed was fixed under the window which made me sick after my trip!!! No telephone to make contact with receptionists in the room and totally unpleasant! There were also constructions inside the building and there was too noises.

GermanyThe main areas of the hotel were in desperate need of renovation. You could see that the lobby and the stairs were in a bad condition. But the worst part was the awful smell in the room. Even though it seemed recently renovated (in contrast with the rest of the hotel), there was a bad smell that just would not go away. And it was definitely coming from inside the room, because after leaving the window open for hours and closing it, the smell returned within a few minutes. I ended up sleeping with the window open, I don't know how anyone could sleep there in winter...
The hotel was situated close to the main train station, that is why I chose it. The neighborhood was full of immigrants, don't expect the typical Parisian tourist experience here, but for the price it was a bargain. When I got to the hotel the check in was smooth, with a very friendly receptionist. They could keep my luggage for a few hours after check out, which was a plus

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly, the cleaner, the receptionists they were all so kind, friendly and helpful. We felt so safe at the hotel. The room was way bigger than we expected and was spotless!! So good for money and just a 2 minute walk from the main station were already looking at staying again in a few months!!
