Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Lovely B&B right on the sea front with a added bonus of parking, everything about Room with a View from the entrance hall, dining room, room we stayed in (rm 3) with lovely sea views and being able to watch all the activity going on along the sea front and out to sea, everything spotlessly clean, breakfast (full English) was done to perfection with a range of other choices, staff who we met all very polite and friendly, a lovely homely atmosphere, shops also on your doorstep, all in all a perfect place to stay when visiting Brighton.

United KingdomOnly the entrance stairs which would benefit from a hand rail especially when raining which during our stay it did quite a lot!
As a partly disabled senior having the ground floor room near the breakfast room both with sea views was lovely. The staff were friendly, courteous and helpful and guided us to excellent value for mony fish & chips. Breakfast was definitely worth having, sets you up for the day, plenty of variety. The room was small but snug and dainty, perhaps a little more heat control would have helped.

United KingdomStayed in Room 3 and the thumb turn lock did not work, so was unable to lock the door from the inside. As a solo female traveller, safety in hotel rooms is paramount, so I felt slightly concerned. I mentioned to the duty manager the following morning, so I’m sure this will get fixed.
Great location near the seafront and pier. Got a complimentary upgrade on arrival to a superior double room. Room was warm and cosy on a grey, rainy night. Was glad to have an iron and board to prepare work clothes. Comfortable bed. Room was very clean. Loved the walk-in shower. Staff were friendly. I travel to Brighton occasionally for work and would be very happy to stay there again.

United KingdomWe loved the room! Very spacious, clean and beautiful colours. Bathroom had a big shower and also a bath! The view at floor 3 where the room was at was just amazing! Loved it so much. The location is so so perfect, literally door step with the sea. There can be good hotels around probably like chains, but this property it was just amazing! I would without a doubt book again and only here whenever visiting Brighton. Breakfast was so tasty and lots of choices.

United KingdomThis is just something to be aware of. There are Lowe floor rooms but others are up a number of flights of stairs so either old or those with mobility issues may have problems.
Good ingredients which were well cooked. Also a good buffet selection of other breakfast cereals including fresh fruit, cereals and pastries. The B&b is in a great position close to all central locations with the bonus of parking.

United KingdomParking was awkward - we were told to park so we’re blocked in as we were staying 2 nights. When it came to us leaving - we could not leave when we wanted because of inconsiderate response from other guests, who made us wait 1hr and a half before moving their car.
Brilliant view. Good breakfast, lovely rooms.

United KingdomThere was just one thing I think is needed that's more hand rails on opposite walls to bannisters as stairs are quite steep being an older property.
Room was very nice and bed was very comfy. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were very professional and very friendly. Location was superb and within walking distance of all attractions. The reason we chose this Hotel is because it looked very clean, modern and had guaranteed parking on site. We would highly recommend.

Property location is brilliant. It is right on the seafront near the pier and a range of bars and restaurants, all within walking distance. Property itself is very nice, it is modern and the rooms are nice, light and airy. The bed was extremely comfortable and I just can’t get over the view we had from our room. It was beautiful, especially at night when the pier was all lit up. There are a lot of stairs to climb, especially if you’re on the higher floors which we were. It was fine for us as we are fairly young and mobile but may be difficult for anyone with mobility issues or of an older age, as no lift available.
